Exactly! I mean, it makes no sense why he would hate a character who rarely makes any appearances in the series! Any reason for hating the guy would be a completely shallow reason if you ask me. He must be confusing hatred with indifference, I don't see how it can be anything other than that.

On topic, another possibility is that it could be his student...

That is very true could just be a student of his. But with the whole next generation theme they are mainly going with children of characters we have seen before. There are a few unknowns with a few but thats what is exciting about is. Besides being Kankuros son another possibility even though it a very far fetched idea is what if its Gaaras son and Kank is trainging him and their just saving it to be revealed in the movie. Thatd be so awesome lol.

I hated Kankuro, but loved Sasori.

You hate Kankuro because he now is better than Sasori???

Did you hate him because of his character overall or the lack of development he got. Because I hate the fact he didnt get more developed. He had a ton of potential as a character like so many others but didnt get the development .

Kankuro has got development but in this forum many people underrate Kankuro
He got new puppets Jounin rank capitan position in the war
He has got development more than Neji Rock Lee Kiba Shikamaru Shino and others k11 ninja
Too bad that Kankuro is extremly underrated
