Yeah sage mode and he improved Edo tensei.

Kabuto has more raw power with Dragon Sage Mode, but he was reckless with Edo Tensei and it came back to bite him in the ass. Orochimaru is the truly great one, and would not have made such a mistake. Even if he can't control Hashirama, that is something he considered prior to casting Edo Tensei, unlike Kabuto.

Orochimaru is greater in all other aspects, including knowledge of the Shinobi world. And now that Oro has a Zetsu body, he can probably also enter Sage Mode... so Kabuto remains a watered-down Oro, outside of his recovery properties and his Sound 4 jutsu (which Oro developed and could have implemented at any time).

Kabuto was too unstable when fully powered & unharmed... he was somewhat harming himself... he was too fragile.

he inherited the most insane and mentally unstable DNA of Orochimaru at that time..

there was no way Kabuto would win a fight against a worthy foe. AND HE DIDN'T.

Kabuto would beat himself ... he hasn't won a battle against anyone except Anko & that's because she also had Oro's DNA.

His snakes were better than hers. Anko was also handicapped & she wouldn't have won anyway though. I miss her T_T

that's right & Juugo's random insane rage moments became a burden for Kabuto.
That included & multiple personalities had Kabuto pursuing thoughts that weren't valuable to himself.
& Orochimaru's DNA weighed on Kabuto heavily like the 9tails chakra did on Minato.(just not as much I suppose)

I think so, he was a medic, orochimaru experimented alot, with Kabuto medical skills and chakra control, once gaining orochimaru powers he was much greater.

He was able to obtain the Sage Mode, Orochimaru couldn't in all of his life.

Kabuto mastered Edo Tensei, and he was A god at his prime, but Kishi end it with Izanami.
