Title question^^

Ive wanted to ask this question ever since I read the four gospels within the bible. To me it sounds like hes taking the sins of only the jewish people and forgiving them with his sacrifice.

You might be asking why I though about this when its apparently obvious jesus died for the world. Well first off he never mentions he came to give peace to the whole world. Second, theres a story within the gospel where a canaanite women asks jesus for help (canaanite is not a jewish person) and he refuses to help her out. She had to neg and degrade herself to get help.

So how can I believe that he came here to forgive me (a nonjew) for my sins?

I remember the Canaanite story.

Well, the bible was written by real people. Jesus is also just a real person. Who knows.

Think of it like this. He died for his family(the jews). He also adopts the non jews into his family. As the non jews are now a part of his family, he also died for them.

At that time the jews were all concentrated in israel.(few across the world). Jesus commanded the apostles to spread the word of God across the world. He would not command them to do that, if he only came to save the jews.

So simply he died for everyones sins. Jew or not.

The only special thing about the jews, is that they are descended from abraham. They were the only people/nation at the time who truly worshipped God more consistantly.

They are reffered to as "Gods chosen people". That simply means they are the chosen people to spread the word and teachings of God. Not like they get some special pass or something.

I no expert, so these are my opinions based on what i have read and know. I dont know it well enough to give specific examples though.

the story of the canaanite woman is a story of persistence. Jesus was testing her drive. His primary goals was the Jews, but this was the breakthrough moment in which Jesus's enourmous mission expanded.

"But Batman, why was Jesus's mission only the jews in the first place?"

You have to understand that God is rather critical do non-Jews before the crucifiction of Jesus Christ. He was still merciful, as in if you repented and came to him he would accept you into his arms. However, since the Jews were with him since the begining, they were the ones he took care of initially (pre-crucifiction, mind you). The same applies for Jesus's mission, however after this instance of the woman, his mission expanded to all as the priority.

So to answer your question, yes, he died for the world's sins, past, future, and present.

Don't see the point in finding fault in sacrifice . He did a great think , regardless of wether you believe he was a savior or not .
