Did Itachi's Sacrifice had any impact on Sasuke? It's hard to read Sasuke cause he's sometimes comes a little off balance. But to under stand Itachi we need to understand the dilemma he lived. Let's start when Itachi was young.
• Itachi hated war. When he was about over the age of 5 Itachi experience war. The 3rd Great Ninja war had countless ninja battle over control and people died not to far from where the village is. This brought Itachi to love peace and would do anything to sustain the peace and vitality of the village. He to had the will of fire. The upmost pride to protect the village. * *
• Itachi was in a dispute with the Leaders of the village and the Uchiha revolution. This cause great stress and animosity over his feelings. And knowing this struggle of peace weigh in his hands. It was hard to bear all of this but Itachi manage. The hate between the Uchiha and the Senju. The discrimination of the Uchiha Clan. All of the animosity over all the hate that's been going on. He carried that burden. And it tore him apart. Since he was given the task to spy on the Uchiha you can admit the shame he must have felt. To betray his clan.
• The life of his younger brother was on the line. We see that he had to choose. To either participate in the coup and die along with his younger brother or destroy the clan and let his younger brother live. This was a very tough mission handed down by the elders. The *village was already in a bad state and this war could attract neighboring countries to attack. This could be avoided with the help of Itachi.
By everything he was going through. He chose to live a life of being hated and a criminal. All for the sale of peace for the village. This was his destiny. Due to the never ending cycle of Hate that this ninja world has to offer. Itachi spoke with the Third Hokage to insure Sasukes protection and warn Danzo that of he ever lay a hand on Sasuke he would leak out intelligence files to other nations. This would weaken the defense of the leaf village. And as he leaves the village he already made his mind to die in Sasukes hands and to instill him a new power.
Even through everything he been through. And what Sasuke has done. Even to this last Breath he died protecting Sasuke. When he was raised up from the impure world resurrection technique. He still loved his brother forever. This was Itachi's life. *
