Did Itachi use his Susano's Yata mirror to save himself from Kirin?

Could Itachi have possibly used his Susano's Yata mirror to save himself from Kirin?Kirin destroyed a whole mountain , i doubt anyone who doesn't have the EMS and PS could survive that?

He had no time to activate full Susano'o so he just did the Ribcage.

After he blocked it, he then activated Complete Susano'o.[SUB]

I don't believe that Yata Mirror could be brought up that fast. He would need to form a Susanoo Body first which takes at least 3 seconds to do.

OT: If we're all using our common sense here, we should realize that Itachi had to bring out his Susano'o in 1/1000th of a second, meaning that the odds of Itachi fully stabilizing his Susano'o and bringing out the Yata Mirror over him is highly unlikely.
