Hiruzen stated that Itachi could always see the bigger picture and didn't give in to the whole "Uchiha clan is everything and must be most powerful" type of thing. He started learning about the history of Konoha and its founding from a very early age, at 7 so he had the Will of Fire. I don't think he ever had the hatred to begin with, however he still experienced a great deal of pain and awakened his MS. He just never gave in to the pain either and moved on. Shisui and Kagami also had the Will of Fire and didn't give in to the Uchiha clan's limited perspective.

the whole point of sasuke meeting with the hokage were for sasuke to find his path and the one he thinks is right(hatred/or the opposite). Which is why hiruzen said to sasuke that itachi transcended the clan, that he was never bound by his clan and its curse which is hatred. The reason why itachi killed his clansmen should be more than enough to answer your question which is he chose to love the village rather than hate. Hashirama even noted that itachi was a better shinobi than him which in other words meant had he himself been in the same situation he wouldnt have done what itachi did but would rather stick with his clans hatred. Tobirama also said there was other uchiha that were above the clans hate which was Kagami Uchiha and it is known that shi sui to some extent stood above the clans hate as well but obviously he couldnt do what itachi did so he committed suicide.

I think so, but to an extent. He still awakened his eyes, and advanced them. Itachi was as big of a nutcase as the rest of them.

i think the reason why he awakened his eyes is still do to hatred, but instead of letting it out like the other clansmen he kept it within so he still felt the hate he just endured, which is what Hashirama said when sasuke asked the question " what is a shinobi " and he answered a shinobi is someone who endures, which is why he said itachi is a better shinobi than him...

no it doesnt. hashirama is obviously a better ninja than itachi but hashirama didnt know everything about itachi so he made a misinformed comment about him

itachi betrayed konoha and everything it stood for.
will of fire is about love, trust and loyalty to the common cause. itachi is an insane traitorous maniac who brutally betrayed and mindraped kakashi and sasuke, causing them as much pain as possible, and prefers konoha and danzo ruling by fear brainwashing and genocide. he murdered his family because he didnt like their politics even though he could have resovled the situation bloodlessly.
itachi betrayed and helped kill gaara who is a trusted ally of konoha.

he betrayed the leaf village and made sure it got blown to hell by pain by leaving it defenceless and not even trying to stop akatsuki or tell konoha anything useful. he betrayed and tried to kill kakashi for no reason other than to be a sadistic monster.

no he didnt. he betrayed every single thing will of fire ever stood for, and betrayed everyone in konoah to akatsuki, ensring that konoha was defenceless and got absolutely massacred. he betrayed and tortured sasuke to insanity which nearly got everyone killed. and he believes in ruling others by fear brainwashing and torture. .
