Did Itachi also release edo tensei?

when I saw page 12 of the newest manga it looked as though Sasuke was referring to Itachi still being around as it just finished a flash back of him saying he has something to do. Itachi knew the seals to release the edo tensei and has a strong will to protect konoha, so why would he just leave?
Please correct me if this is wrong.

Yeah true that, if he came back to life again it would be a bit of an over kill. But do you know what the flash back was referring to because I don't know how it links to anything, at the moment it just looks like a random flash back jammed in the middle of a conversation.

"I have something to do" = "I must stop edo tensei". Itachi is gone...Sasuke was reffering to Madara because he just found out that his edo is still around.
