That probably isn't the case. The databooks says it drains the chakra networks of those they touch. But what does it drain the network of? Chakra of course. She absorbs the chakra by being in contact with the network, and thus, being in contact with the chakra in it. So as long as her Twin Lion Fists are in contact with whatever chakra she is absorbing, be it withing the body or out of the body in the form of a jutsu, she would be able to absorb it.

I wouldn't say her feats are average, honestly. First obvious one is that she managed o repel the Juubi's arm, something that impressed even Hiashi. She was also able to master Twin Lion Fists, said to require next to no mistakes in chakra control in order to maintain. Said technique is also something, as far as we know, Neji was never able to use. Then there's the fact that she learned 64 Palms, said to be an unavoidable maneuver to escape [once it lands that is] and said to be the Hyuga's most powerful Taijutsu ability.

But I agree, in terms of ACTUAL battle feats, she's lacking.

Thats not even remotely similar.

Tenten and madara were already worlds apart in abilities and skills so not even the time that has passed will do anything, while hinata had the same abilities as neji, just behind him in skills, which can be remedied with time and training as has been constantly shown by people who were "failures" catching up or surpassing the "geniuses"

That was a statement about the Byakugan, not in general. It doesn't apply to things like speed or taijutsu skills. Hinata was probably still below Neji in the war arc. However, she wasn't nearly as below as her haters say she was.
