I understand what you mean, but he was hiding. The Chou Shinra Tensei destroyed and leveled a lot of landscape but he was most likely underground hiding where the Root is located.

Are you asking if he "died" and used izanagi?
If so then no I don't believe so due to him not being seen using it nor there being no implications that he did
Nor is there any evidence that he was resurected
