Did Hagoromo have Sharingan or not?

I was wondering Madara and Sasuke Sharingan evolved to MS then EMS and then to Rinnengan, I was wondering if Hagoromo went through that process to gain Rinnengan.

I mean really we know nothing about Hagoromo and his powers, why didn't Kishi show us Hagoromo and Hamura fight ever in the manga.

Kaguya had the rinnesharingan which is the pinnacle of dojutsu and she had a son (hagaromo) with the watered down version which is the rinnegan then hagaromo had a son (indra) and he had a watered down rinnegan which is the sharingan . But my theory is hagaromo's rinnegan had all the powers of the sharingan because of his large and potent chakra reserves. We all now the byakugan is the original eyes of the ostukuki clan and with strong enough chakra is added the mutations are rinnesharingan or sharingan or rinnegan

Sauce was able to use sharingan techs when the tomoes are active(visible) and sharingan is derived from kaguya's rinne sharingan , not hagoromo's rinnegan. None of the rinnegans possess sharingan feats unless it has tomoes.

No. It seemed implied that Kaguya was superior to Hagoromo due to possessing both the Sharingan and the Rinnegan and even then, Hagoromo never did have the Sharingan or else it would've been considered a Six Paths Power and not Indra's Power.

No he didn't, he only had Rinnegan. The manga repeatedly says Rinnegan was Hagoromo's eye, and Sharingan was just a diluted form of his eye inherited by his son.

The reason Obito and Madara couldn't use Susanoo to begin with is because Hagoromo never had Sharingan feats. Indra's and Hago's dojutsu are two separate KKG.

This. Sasuke's has a more evolved Rinnegan because the Sage's chakra was added to Indra's chakra as opposed to Madara who only had Ashura's chakra added to Indra's.
