Did anyone think Naruto would get to 700 issues when it first came out?

I didn't think there was going to be more than 200 issues, tbh. It's been an awesome ride. I even joined a forum to post about Naruto... I mean we all did :'(

I'm going to be honest: with Naruto's concept, I knew it would last longer than your average manga series when it first came out.

I knew Naruto would end on 700 since the whole Obito vs Everyone Saga

I was 9-11 (not sure when the anime came out in respects to the manga) when it came out. I didn't know anything about anime and I definitely didn't think about how many episodes it would have

My initial prediction at the start of the war (which was chapter 518) was about chapter 600-650.

By the time the edo hokages came in to the mix I was guessing around chapter 720-750ish.

It seems like around 2007 Naruto really picked up speed and became the DBZ of the modern era, pulling fans from all genres
