Did Anyone Realize there is two different Otsutsuki clan

(1) in the unknown planet kaguya, momoshiki and kinshi from they are not born with byakugan eg. Kinshiki and kaguya only those eat chakura fruit will possess byakugan. eg. Kaguya and Momoshinki

(2) in moon where Toneri, Hamura and the rest branch/main clansman. born with Byakugan but later get sealed because they follow Hamura orders.

Did i get this wrong?

Hm, where did you get that idea? My memory isn't very fresh so it's quite possible that I forgot something. When was the war on moon mentioned?

Regardless, an additional feud in an already heavily divided clan wouldn't change the fact that it's still one clan (bloodline).

They all had byakugan. even kaguya before fruit. How do you think they gave their byakugan to the tenseigan altar if they didnt have it. Filler wrong Hamura went to the moon with the clan and they already were grown with byakugan.

I'm not sure how that worked out because Hamura left the plane and he's the only byaku user at the time. Kishi just didn't care too much for the Hyuuga to do a proper backstory on them.

The Hyuuga should be Otsutsuki as well because they are his descendants as his bloodline didn't branch off, just had two branches.(Same surname) It all gets confusing really because there's not much of the Otsutsuki/Hyuuga to go off of.

I still think that The powers of the byakugan pre existed even before the consumption of the fruit. I remember nothing from the manga that fully enforces otherwise. The anime episode did a good job displaying Kaguya's past but did it really do the byakugan justice?

I mean come on, how else did Kaguya have any idea that the fruit or the tree had divine powers? SHE could have inspected it with her chakra seeing eye, same case with the other ootsutsukis. It is just then after the consumption that her Byakugan might have gained power ups.

That is my case.

Edit: so about chakra, dont you think everyone has chakra even non shinobi? And the Ninshuu that Hagoromo spoke off is for everyone to connect with chakra.

Kaguya earing the fruit is clearly a reference to the Christian Bible, in the book of Genesis, Eve had a bite at the apple and had malice. Likely, Kaguya consumed the fruit and obtained knowledge, control and prowess over chakra, that sort of thing.

Hamura's Ootsutsuki Clan is still Ootsutsuki is because

1) they are in the damn moon and there isn't much REGULAR people there but his decendants. so yeah incest. So no name change.

2) people who migrated probably married an Ootsutsuki. or they dropped their house name completely.

And anyone who came on Earth mostly changed their name either by marriage or to hide

for example: Hyuga Clan.

The otsutsuki on the moon consists of descendets from hamura and the original otsutsuki's that went with hamura to the moon. I wonder why the lost their traditional otsutsuki features though.

We don't know the circumstances around momo and kinshiki.They could be otsutsuki defectors/rebels or from a different tribe of otsutsuki.
