Perhaps a slight goof in Kishi's part? when ch. 599 first came out, Minato's face was carved in the mountain even though he wasn't Hokage yet, however, this was corrected with the volume release and Minato's face no longer appears on the Hokage Mountain.

Seriously though, I don't mind this. It's not a big deal, Kishi either made a mistake or didn't care to draw an X all the time.

I think it's just Kishi horrendous writing rearing its ugly head again. I doubt Madara couldn't do this when Obito can - considering the fact that he's the one who taught him everything.

Yeah, it's not like Obito should be doing anything Madara isn't capable of when it comes to Rikudou's powers.

@SDO: I'm thinking it's just a goof, maybe he'll correct in the volume covers but since it isn't a big deal, I doubt he'll bother with it.
