Akatsuki are ninja from different villages, and they are criminals so they have a line through their headbands, they don't have a line in that picture. It was a group, it just wasn't Akatsuki. That's my opinion on the matter.

u must haven't followed the pein saga or else u would that most of what u said is only half the story how can you not know the beginning of akatsuki its clearly stated in the manga and anime it might not be hindan, but not for the reasons that u stated. all do respect.
