The 3rd isn't something he stated. The Viz elucidated on the matter by articulating that Kabuto was close to deciphering Hagoromo's power, not that he was literally an omnipotent being arriving at his power. Kabuto obviously wasn't that stupid given that he admitted inferiority to Madara and Hashirama after that realization.

Aside from that, Hiruzen was the strongest of the Five Kages at his era, but was stripped away from his moniker the moment that Kishimoto retconned Hashirama's strength. This isn't Kabuto's fault, but Kishimoto's, but aside from that, majority of what Kabuto stated is congruous with what the manga conveyed.

Naruto, bee, guy, kakashi, Obito, sasuke. He wasn't all that, he would've put up less of a fight if he wasn't in the cave. That was his main advantage. That and itachi and Sasuke needing him alive.
