Did anyone expect this THIS early?

Did any expect Boruto to have a bloody face this early in the series? he wasn't even genin yet and he had a messed up face. It's not even a main arc and boruto had blood all on his face. i can't imagine what happens to him in KARA battles.

When i saw the episode i couldn't believe they went to this extent so early in the series
