Or you can just accept the fact that every time a MC dreams of becoming Hokage they either do or die trying. There's no salt or wank in that it just is. The main protagonist doesn't want to be Hokage but his supporting character does.

That should tell you all you need to know.

kiba isnt dead tho.

Every goal Sasuke had failed :

- Killing Itachi - failed Sasuke didn´t kill him he died from illness
- Destroying Konoha - failed
- Becoming Hokage - failed
- Revolution - failed

And every other Uchiha failed miserably.

Madara and his plan - failed
Obito and his plan - failed
Fugaku with coup - failed

He went wrong way is just you butthurt excuse of the fact that Sasuke failed.

And stop quoting me with dumb excuses .

Indra failed as well and gave up in the end.

Don't forget Itachi failed and he had to rely on Naruto to help/stop Sasuke.

Shin the fake uchiha failed as well.

Danzo with his Sharingans failed as well.

Kakashi lost alot of people since he got his Sharingan teammates/sensei/and sensei's wife.

Anything with a Sharingan seem to (at least in most cases) fail and or die.

"Self-sacrifice… a nameless shinobi who protects peace from within its shadow. That is a true shinobi" These are the words that were taught to Itachi by Shisui. Itachi lived his life this way. Sasuke believed Itachi was the true Hokage because of this, and decided to revolutionise the Shinobi world, while focusing all of the world's hatred on himself to keep the peace. After his defeat to Naruto, Sasuke's views changed. Just like Itachi, he later realized that he should rely on his comrades instead of taking on everything himself.
Agreed.

The role he took on after the war was to stay out of the village, and protect it from the shadows. He would scout out and eliminate potential threats to the village on his journey of atonement. This ideal of protecting the village from the shadows is what Boruto wants to become. It's completely different than Sasuke's previous ideals of what a Hokage should be, where he took this to the extreme and wanted to make the entire shinobi world hate him and shoulder everything alone. This is my take on what you've said, I may have misinterpreted some of the comparisons you were making though.
Nah you understood the general concept, but I was talking about something else in terms of the connecting their paths. Like Sasuke's view of what the Hokage should be was swayed and had to be changed from the narrative, because Kishimoto said he was wrong. Naruto had to change him. Boruto was the same. Because he was a brat going around saying the Hokage doesn't matter, his views on what the Hokage is was flawed. So he too had to be changed.

Both their perspectives on who and what the Hokage is, made them both ultimately become ninja who end up supporting the Hokage. If that makes sense.

Sarada will never become hokage so who cares

Don't be in denial, if one of the leads dreams to become hokage it will happen it's Naruto + Kishimoto needs a female like Sarada to at least redeem Shippuden's neglection of female characters by having a massive status.

Oh,ok. I understand what you mean now. I agree, the way they arrived at their viewpoints was very similar in terms of them rejecting the traditional idea of what a Hokage should be. I'm glad that they didn't make Boruto a clone of Naruto. It makes the story and his character much more interesting the way he takes after and admires sasuke.

Agreed. Anime wise Boruto's development is standstill, since he get most of his character development in the Movie Arc.

It's kind of annoying to see that ****-block, but I hope they get through it already.
