Did Anyone Else Notice This?

This is something that been bothering me from the first episode/chapter. So apparently Naruto had failed the graduation exam twice before the start of the series, yet he is the same age as the other kids in his class. How is this possible(Naruto was definitely not talented enough to be two years ahead in the academy)? Did anyone else notice this?

I believe u can apply to graduate anytime u feel like It witch will explain weird ass grads like orlchimaru itachi kakashi who all grad before they reached double digits .-.

He was probably bored as hell and he had no parents.. So he just tried it from a younger age.

I think he failed it in the same year. Like you can do your final test any time throughout the year (or after a certain period) and he failed it three times.

I agree. Kishis a great write but he's screwed up the ages and graduation years. Another thing that confuses me is kakashi and his peers in their chunin exam.
