[Discussion] Did Aizen know about Yhwach?

Did Aizen already know about the Quincy Emperor's existence during the time he had the Hogyoku? Why didn't he try to get rid of them first before trying to kill the Soul King himself?

He probably did. He had to have alive during the war 200 years ago, but prob not involved. He knew it was inevitable that they'd return so he wanted to beat Bach to the punch. It makes sense that he'd want more time to master the hyogoku before bachs arrival. I honestly beleive aizen saw this coming from a mile away, why else would he decline bachs offer for freedom unless he had a fool proof plan (614 startling events) i beleive he'll be freed very soon and confront Bach

I'm sure he did, and he just didn't care. Or he just wanted (or needed) to beat Yhwach to the Soul King.

Yea, Thats what im thinkin. We dont know the nature of shunsui's visit, but its safe to assume there are some sort of negotiations taking place and now shunsui has to release him. Im going out on a limb and saying aizen has the solution to the seireiteis destruction! Id say urahara but he'll be at the soul palace and no one else is smart or powerful enough to make a difference, i mean maybe mayuri but its unlikely he isnt a big enough character to do something like that.
Nothing against him it just seems too big a role for someone like him.
