While I could just ask you to read the handbook, I would rather explain what Diagonsis is, also known as Shindan.
Shindan is a Medical Ninja's best friend, it's used to find the issue with a patient. This means that is the understanding of the problem, from where we then can work out our treatment. In the early stages of your teachings, untill you become much more proficient within the Medical field, you will always need to have physical contact with your patients for it to work, in the later stages you will start being able to deduce certain injuries, issues, etc, even from a distance.
So for now, we use our hands, our most important tool, our hands. For this I did like for you to start by using both hands, you lay them atop your patient and with a proper infusion of your chakra, you run over the patient body scanning for injuries that the naked eye can't seem to detect on its own. The chakra basically goes into your patient, returns the with the information that we need, the chakra will mainly find the root of the problem even though you may be scanning one toe, but the root problem lays in the toe three toes away. @_@
Now, to achieve this you need advanced chakra control and practice. Too much chakra and you risk harming the patient. Too little and you might not get enough information out of it.
While using this method you will be able to detect any physical alteration, be it internal or external wounds, lesions, tumors, bone fractures or diseases - We could go on. Not only does it detect that, but also the composition, and vital signs, antibodies, iron levels, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, pain, oxygen and so forth.
A student such as yourself, will take time to accumulate all data, but as you get more experienced and become an actual Medical Ninja, you will be able to deduce all this in but mere seconds.
Mental injuries are detectable as well, by scanning the patient's head for various hormones, chemicals and electric currents that make up the inner network of our brain. This means we will be able to detect depression and bipolar disorder, for example. He can even understand if theres a disease at play, or a Genjutsu - Due the inbalance that may be present with either. However, admittedly you cannot read minds.
Using Shindan, you're able to virtually see with your hands anything within the patient, even their chakra flow as it so connected with their physical being that it diseases and injuries would affect chakra flow as well, and vice versa.
And of course, at some point in time you will be able to examine dead bodies. Wow, right? No but you will capable of estimated time, weapon, cause of death, etc.
O'right, any questions? If not, the two of you head into the test cabinet and we will do some training in regards to this. O^O
*Gestures over to an empty cabinet, looking too much akin to an interrogation room.*
(One of you make a thread, and both reply in that, I will post after both you have.)
