Idk how you played D3 that far. I played through the story in the first difficulty as a demon hunter and switched back to WoW. It's an alright game but not one I'd want to invest that much time in after I beat the story once.

Gah Diablo 3, I had so much hope for this game when they first announced it, then when they decided to base an entire game around a real life auction house and it just killed the game for me. As for monks, I never played one to a high level, but monks usually build there skills for survival as it should be.

Check out some other online blizzard forums for more info on this.

^ Diablo 3 is more fast paced than Diablo 2 was

How so? There are less monsters in areas and your character's movement speed is much slower. I went back and played Diablo 2 after playing 3 for a while and I felt like I was moving at double speed.

I got a barbarian lvl 60 paragon lvl 4 or 5 cant remember, im in inferno act 3 with my brother hes a witchdoctor lvl 60 paragon 3 or 4, anyways im the tank he's the striker. We just got tired of playing it. We were rolling through act 3 infernro but we just lost interest, I still liked diablo 2 more. When Tyreal threw his sword into the worldstone that was so awesome. Unfortunately I dont know anything about the monk build.

I played it for the few weeks after release because I was a super nerdy d2 fanboy.

Was kinda discouraged, and don't play it anymore - but I can point you in the right direction for survivability on a monk.

Pick an elental resistance to focus on. I'll use cold for my example.

Good items for your monk will have proper stats (such as DEX \ VIT \ Life % \ Attack Speed \ Crit Chance \ Crit Damage ) BUT ALSO HAVE COLD RESIST.

Even better the item will have ALL RESIST + COLD RESIST ON IT.

Using the monk's passive skill "as one" or "one body" *forget name, @ work and can't check* ...... your highest resistance becomes your resistance for all elements.

I've seen a lot of diablo 3 monks with 1100+ resistances because a lot of their gear has +70-80 all resist and 40+ cold resist. (this gives them 110-120 resists just on a single item)
