Coming from here [
X]. I shall only be carrying one SNT: Skorm's Bow.
Starting Missions: Investigate the outskirts of Tanigakure (3)
Arriving in the outskirts of the village known as Tanigakure, Integra drew her Bow with one hand and re-lit her cigar with her other hand as it had gone out by the time she had finally arrived. Putting her lighter back into her pouch and taking a few puffs, she scanned the surrounding area with her Byakugan. “
What a mess…” she had said to herself. It looked dead from the plague that had manifested in the heart of the village. The greenery, wildlife… Everything was on the brink of death…
Integra was approached by a half dead deer limping its way towards her. But before reaching her, it drew its last breath and collapsed, dying right then and there. Integra was keen on not touching these creatures. As much as she would love to show some compassion , getting infected by this plague was the last thing she had wanted. Not long after her journey forward, she was approached by rotting women and children it seemed, reaching out to grab her so Integra’s first reaction was to kill them rapidly one by one. Quickly drawing her Bow on the defense and giving each of them a headshot to lay them to rest… Her marksmanship was otherworldly and precise, especially with her eyes, however, after putting several of these plagued humans down, she realized something and stopped firing… She lifted her Bow towards the sky as a safety precaution to not fire upon anymore of them. And so it was… They mindlessly passed her by, like zombies… She looked back out the side of her eye over her left shoulder and noticed that just like the deer, they drew their last breaths and collapsed not far behind Integra… She was conflicted whether or not to continue putting these poor people down or to leave them be… However, she came to the conclusion that these people’s fates were predetermined and out of her hands, so she continued to tread forward and let the mindless creatures pass her by and die.
“
This is awful…” Integra stated. She saw black spores all around and determined that that was what the plague stemmed from… But… Where did these spores come from? There hasn’t been a plague like this in centuries, as far as Integra was aware. These had to have come from something more…
Someone more... As matter of fact, it was apparent as every single spore had a chakra signature stemming from something else. These were created... With her cigar still lit, she took a couple puffs and crouched down on one knee to investigate further. She holstered her weapon after getting on her knee, and looked closely at one of the spores. “
Now, who would do such a thing…” she questioned. Obviously someone out for revenge or to hurt others. She saw someone approach and quickly looked up… It was a teenage girl infected by the plague. On her last leg… She spoke to Integra while reaching out, slowly approaching. Integra stood up and avoided the child’s slow grasp by walking back, not letting her touch her. “
The one without eyes… The one without eyes…” the child repeated as Integra slowly and easily avoided her dying and weak grasp. The child just wanted to hold someone and get comforted before she met her maker, but Integra couldn’t allow this to happen. Like the other beings Integra came across, the girl collapsed and died right in front of Integra, which made her disgruntled of course. But Integra could not let her emotions get the best of her in a situation like this. She had to hone in on her goal and continue. “
The one without eyes…” Integra repeated to herself. That’s who she was looking for… Alas, she had no time to waste. She may not be able to stop this plague, but she can stop the one who created it from spreading more awful concoctions like this…
