Dam the hate is strong when it comes to itachi to an extent that people have started making such threads.

There is a massive gap between deva path and itachi in skill, power and intelligence all these advantage being on itachi's side. Sure deva path has a technique that itachi cannot break, but at the same time, that can be said about Km naruto, Bee, A, jiraiya, 2nd mizukage, 3rd raikage, heck and even hashirama yet all these ninja's are stronger than deva path but cannot get past chibaku tensei by themselves from what we have seen.

If deva path was to start with ct then he more or less beats all these ninja's. However what people seem to forget is that, as its been said the 6 paths power pale in comparison to nagato in terms of power and ninjutsu speed. May i also say that, if i remember correctly deva path has to come in close proximity with nagato to be able to use chibaku tensei. Depending on location and the proximity with nagato, he'd be beaten by high level ninja's before he could get close to nagato and deliver the fatal chibaku tensei.

Just imagine deva path vs itachi in konoha and nagato is far away. Basically the same situation kakashi, choji and choza were in against deva path where he nearly got beaten before asura path came into the picture. People throwing ninjutsu left, right and centre without knowing the requirements for CT when deva path has to use it. Basically deva path has shinra tensei and banshou tennin if he isnt close to nagato and he isnt beating any high level ninja's with these 2 technique's. There is however a superior shinra tensei, chou shinra tensei, which could harm itachi however in susano he gains durability to survive this attack. The downside to deva path using this technique is that, he cannot use his powers for some time;

Luckily for him he had the other paths to stall naruto in order for his powers to come back. In a 1 vs 1 fight only he'd have to be certain that, chou shinra tensei will win him the fight otherwise he is powerless after this attack.

People say banshou tennin will pull itachi out, er no!!. Susano is a manisfestation of the users chakra. Its part of the user and follows the user. We have seen many examples of a susano user being in susano whilst either running or walking. Secondly banshou tennin is more effective when used in combination with another path.

He might CT but Itachi has Susanoo and will figure out that its 5 seconds cool down (as his battle analyzing skills are off the roof) then one strike from the yata sword or w/e hes sealed end of discussion or he just one shots him with Tsukuyomi as soon as the battle begins

Uhm..it is a dead body but it will hit nagato and or once hes in Tsukuyomi hes basically free to the will of itachi.

Itachi then can use his magical sealing weapon and boom instant win...Nagato can easily disrupt the chakra flow and break him out..
then how come when Jirayia put 3 of the pains into a genjutsu Nagato didnt instantly/easily break them out of it..?because he couldnt.so simple.

Dude do you really think Itachi can keep his Susano'o up at all times?
He can only use it for a few minutes (probably even less), where Deva Path can spam Shinra Tensei all day long.

VERY EASY

1. Yata mirror reflects every attack back on the user instantly.....ct would hit deva path if he uses it on Itachi
2. Itachi does not need to sustain susanoo, he can summon it instantly like he did against sasuke when needed
3. after getting hit by his own ct, gengutsu kicks in and he is done...Jiraya used gen on him and it worked
4. after getting hit by his own ct, tot sword slices him on the ground and he is done.
5. after getting hit by his own ct, ameratsu hits him be he even lands on the ground and he is done
6. Stop hating on Itachi...He is Great accept it

- I'm pretty sure Itachi's "collage" of attacks would leave him with no chakra, and also it's < Bee's TBB, which couldn't do it alone.
- Susanoo tanks ST? Are you high? It took out a whole village, the only one who's shown to be able to tank Deva's ST is 6 tailed Naruto.

i read most of this thread n noticed everyone says deva cant counter genjustu umm did u all forget that he has the reningan? and the rinengan is clearly stronger then the sharingan because if it wasnt madara wouldve never wanted the reningan in the 1st place.....but dont get me wrong i like itachi hes a boss he made so many features like graduating academy at 8? anbu at 10? had mangekyo at a very young age? n hes op if this was anyone else like kabuto of course itachi wins but remember the beating deva took against 6 tails? most ppl cant handle 2 or 3 tails he took on 6....but itachi has the ultimate defense and attack imo if deva can get past susaoo he wins but if not this is itachi's win either way neither 1 winning low diff thats just disrespectful to both characters there both op but i like itachi more

People forget what they read so soon..that amaterasu got nagato because he thought itachi was going to attack naruto..he didn't know itachi has escaped edo tensei's grip..now for the topic..there is a reason deva was used in akatsuki meetings.the guy(though a not actually living) was boss!.a quick massive shinrai tensei(the one that broke boss toad's bones) would fling all the akatsuki members meters away if a mutiny was initiated..and the likes of deidara and itachi who are not tanks will feel the brunt of it with shattered bones..now we know genjutsu aint gonna work on deva,the guy feels no pain.animal path said "I feel no pain"(when it was restricted with a pain induced genjutsu by ibiki and his anbus..now will a living itachi start of with susanoo? That will be suicide because deva will outlast him if he does that..its funny that if itachi tries a close commbat taijutsu and gets hit with a well timed shinrai tensei like the one on the toads,he is done for,as simple as that..
1.Taijutsu-deva went toe to toe with 6tails kyubi and said"is that all you got?" Beat that..
2.Speed-both are equally fast..deva OUTRAN a 6tailed kyubi..that's some crazy speed feat.
3.Genjutsu-unless its tayuya's flute or frogsong which paralyses your body(not psyche because deva is just a re-animated corpse)..itachi won't get him in one
4.Ninjutsu-amaterasu can be sensed and countered with shinrai tensei or even earth technique(deva used it against kyubi's katon)..itachi's susanoo is OP agreed,but can it withstand CT? Remember that even 6tailed kyubi's fireballs couldn't stop the orb alone..and deva could even make a bigger CT(it was stated by nagat himself)..totsuka sword pierces whoever it stabs and puts his soul into a dreamlike world..deva has no soul..its a walking corpse...deva path pound for pound outpowers itachi,truth be told..
