Mid-range.
Let's do something interesting for a terrain. Dragonstone. On the cliffs where Dany left with her Dragons. The wide open ocean is 10 meters behind me. The cliff side is jagged rocks with a beach below it. Behind you is the castle of Dragonstone itself, but like 100 meters away. Pretty far. We're separated by 10 meters. There is a strong prevailing wind that constantly blows through the terrain.

I found myself in an odd predicament once more. Facing off against foes, never was easy. Nor was this one going to be. An odd man, crazy couldn't describe it. Why did I always put myself in things like this? Couldn't I just be quiet, and let him be? No, I had to annoy him, and now, he's probably gonna kill me. Oh well, I stood ready, ready to take him on, and even ready to die. Nothing was going to hinder me, this time.

"So, uh, here we go?"

I stated, as I envelope myself in a shroud of darkness, as if I had just let hate itself consume me. My being shifted back and forth, and I would leak darkness itself. At the same time, a single hand seal is formed. From behind the odd man, two large black tiger-like figures would pounce, aiming to slam onto his body, their approach silent and deadly, and their red orbs, filled with bloodlust. Their mouths would rage open, and grab his arms. Another two would approach from before him, jumping on him, and grabbing his legs. Their heaviness would cause him to fall to the ground. A single explosive tag is thrown as I cast the Genjutsu, in an arc, aiming to land on him from above should he be hit down by the tigers.

Description: The user will passively apply a seal with the Kanji for "Madness" on their body. This technique will both distort how their body but also their techniques appear. A barrier of chakra will form over their body in the form of a black haze of chakra cloaks the user's body without obscuring their sight. The haze casts anyone who looks upon it in an external genjutsu (A-Rank) that constantly shifts the user's outline like an off-focus photograph, thereby obscuring any discerning marks or features. The mist-like illusion also causes his image to double or triple randomly, making him appear to be a hallucination. It essentially creates the effect of the user's body flickering from side to side across a one-meter area too fast for the eyes to track without the creation of after-images. This isn't to be confused with the user moving back and forth, this effect can solely be attributed to the genjutsu induced by the haze and will occur even if the user is standing still. This throws off techniques which require a clear line of sight or concentration on the user's position. This effect will occur regardless of the opponent's tracking speed. As for the user's techniques, their distorted image will depend on it's state of matter. Solid techniques will appear pitch black with red lines of light across them, liquid techniques will appear as blood, gaseous techniques will appear as a black smog and energy-based techniques will appear a dark-red colour. This lasts until deactivated.

Genjutsu: Souzoubutsu Joushou Tora no Jutsu (Illusionary Technique: Manifest Rising Tiger Technique)

Description: After preforming the necessary seals (Hare → Boar → Dog → Tiger) The caster creates the illusion of four large bangle tigers rising from the ground below their opponent. The tigers will then proceed in a formation formation to pin down the opponent, sinking their claws and teeth into the legs, and upper body of their opponent (tigers may attack by biting into the lower ribs and kidney areas, the pectoral, arm and/or shoulder regions...will be specified by caster). The victim experiences several hundred lbs of force applied to them not to mention a powerful jaw strength, pinning them to the ground. The victim will naturally topple over in the real world from the illusion and the perceived force applied to him.

~ Jutsu lasts 2 turns
~Renders victim unconscious after 2 turns from pure trauma (almost 2 tones of pressure, blood loss perceived)

The Knight of Havoc crooked his head slightly at his opponent's apparent lack of interest and initiative. For a moment, Angra's true personality shone through the blood and flames that Avenger cast on his persona. But suddenly, after his opponent finished weaving hand seals, Avenger's Curse Mark self-activated; a telltale sign that a Genjutsu had been cast upon him. The self activation was due to the seal's modifications through the Four Horsemen, a seal bestowed upon him by the Black King, Lancelot. The markings of Heaven itself spread across Avenger's body as the First Stage is initiated, flooding him with Senjutsu chakra and instantly shattering the illusion before it could even truly take hold. He frowned; the Knight viewed such tactics with disdain. He preferred direct, bloody confrontation. Fire and Blood. Instantly Avenger activated the Rage of the Firelands; it is an innate ability manipulating his Fire Release techniques into a combination of Explosion Release and Fire. Simultaneously as this is activated, Avenger clasps his hands and forms a single hand seal. Fifteen meters above Lawliet, two portals ripped into existence and dropped two flaming meteors down upon the detective. Their explosive force would rip through the earth beneath him, upon impact. Creating massive damage to Dragonstone and the surroundings. Avenger, as the portals rip into existence, would leap backwards widening the gap between Lawliet and the Knight. The meteor, empowered by the Twin Evils on his hips as well as the Senjutsu of the Curse Mark, would bear down on him with ravenous hunger seeking to tear the world asunder.

Description: The user wills the opening of the cursed seal partially, giving him more chakra and more strength, as the Senjutsu Chakra contained within the seal is unleashed upon the users body in a reduced amount. Patterned red lines that extend from the Cursed Seal on the body of the user course through the user's body, covering it in a repetitive pattern as their body surges with chakra. When the state it done, the lines will become a solid black. While active, the seal actively consumes the users chakra in order to produce and fuel Senjutsu Chakra into his body. While in this stage, the user gains +15 damage to his elemental Ninjutsu and +10 to his Taijutsu. His physical strength is slightly improved as is his speed.
Note: Lasts for 5 turns.

Description: A type of activated infusion technique designed to manipulate specialized Fire Release techniques. The user will instantly activate this technique which allows them to infuse their Explosion chakra into a Fire Release natured technique which can cause explosive damage. This technique effectively creates a Fire/Explosion combination through the infusion allowing for the explosion produced by the aforementioned Fire techniques to become Bakuton natured. Techniques influenced by this infusion will retain their weakness to Water Release while gaining an effective strength against Earth Release, due to the nature of Explosion Release. Additionally, the technique will forfeit its neutrality with lightning becoming naturally weak to it. Because of the highly specialized nature of this technique it can only be applied to Fire techniques which cause Explosive damage, such as Fire Release: Hellfire Technique or Great Blaze Ball. It will have no effect on techniques consisting of regular non-explosive/volatile fire. When activated this technique will last for three turns; Rage of the Firelands can be used three times per battle and can be deactivated instantly according to the user’s will.

Description: After performing a set of 4 handseals, the user gathers a huge amount of fire chakra and releases it into the air, causing a portal similar to the "Sticky Earth Drop" technique to open to either of two opposite sides of the intended target, each portal is released 15 meters away from the opponent basically a Mid range to both of his sides, summoning two identical meteor sized fireballs which are extremely compressed towards the opponent, approaching him from the two opposite sides, when the Fireballs each are 10 meters away from the opponent they resonate with each other, causing a "link" of fire to spread out connecting the two fireballs resulting in a ring of fire that's made around the opponent, entrapping him in the area he's in, however the opponent can escape vertically upwards since the ring of fire doesn't cover above him it only covers around him, the heat released from these two fireballs are enough to cause sweat to drip down the opponent's body when it's summoned out of the portals, letting him know the danger he's in, each Meteor sized fireball is considered an S-rank Fire technique, since it's an Forbidden-rank divided in two, when hit by either fireballs, anything caught in between the two fireballs will be crushed and burned severely.

Note: No S-rank Fire Release or above techniques in the next turn.

Nonetheless, without an issue, he would easily break the Genjutsu as his form changes, something I deduced to be Curse Mark. He had one of those, impressive. I couldn't help but smile, this was going to be fun. Nonetheless, the man suddenly unleashed two massive meteors upon my location.

My hands are positioned upward as I clap them and separate them. This creates a small dark sphere, which siphons all the chakra from the technique and basically renders it useless. In doing so, I then position my arms forward, and unleash a massive blast of blue flames from the markings on my hands.

Dark Release. The Knight grunted as the blue flames blitzed toward him. He immediately recognized the elemental nature from Jeanne... the Black King's successor. Fighting such a foe would be challenging. At best the Knight of Havoc would have to rely on his prowess in Fuuinjutsu, a style that he reserved for only unique and especially interesting enemies. Despite Lawliet's inherent advantage, the Knight smiled. He reveled in the fight. The struggle that one put up against the voice and light of the heavens. Fighting fate itself was almost a beautiful and poetic story. If Lawliet desired darkness, then so be it. From his hands numerous dark threads would be thrust into existence and momentarily hand lifelessly. Then, suddenly as if life had been breathed into them, the threads perked up and began multiplying in number rushing forward toward the blue flames of Dark Release. The threads would ultimately form a large wave-like construct which would plunge into the blue flames and quickly seal it within the threads. The Dark technique would quickly be sealed away, just like how his own had been. Two neutralizing powers facing each other.

(Namikazeron ♦ Ōkami no Nagai Tsume) – Theory of Waves and Wind ♦ The Long Nails of the Balverine

Description: A modified, Namikazerian alternative to the Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Hōin that relies on a number of Jutsushiki-Sen as the delivery system and Sōjō Kanji shaped to form the character for ‘essence’ as the medium of storage. This technique allows the user to draw chakra and energy from an incoming technique, thus nullifying techniques consisting solely of energy, but having essentially no effect on purely physical attacks. The technique can only seal one technique per usage, but, like its parent technique, it can drain techniques up to S-Rank in strength.
- Can only be used thrice (3) per battle.
"Perhaps you are worthy, indeed!" Avenger called out over the sound of the clash. A bloodthirsty grin sprawled across his formerly disappointed face. His heart rate picked up, his breathing accelerated, and his mind momentarily returned to the thought of Jeanne. He knew how worthy her elemental bloodline was in face of his. He knew that in order to overpower her, or to even hold his own against such a consuming element, he would need to use that technique. But it was not the time...yet. He would test his opponent's defenses further. Avenger blitzed forward weaving a set of hand seals in the midst of the chaos. With each tap of his feet against the ground he released Mawscape chakra throughout the earth. Suddenly the very terrain around them on Dragonstone would shift dramatically; as if a black void had been ripped open in the earth below, the hot surface would burn those who stood on it too long. It prompted movement, sprinting, and leaping. The technique was infused with additional Earth chakra, causing it to emerge with a layer of rubble enhancing its power. While the terrain in a 30 meter radius would shift toward Mawscape, the earth directly beneath Lawliet would rupture as four spikes protruded from it and slice and pierce his legs, disabling him. This would surely be a Dance of Light and Darkness - perhaps unbeknownst to his opponent, the Knight of Havoc was on both sides of the same coin.

(Gōkeiton: Iteza Hirogari) – Mawscape Release: Sagittarius’s Expanse

Description: This technique allows the user to produce Mawscape from either their body or a source of Earth. Sagittarius’s Expanse is capable of producing a plethora of objects, tools, and constructs essentially limited by the rank of the technique applied and the user’s own imagination. As constructs of Mawscape they possess the ability to absorb all light, effectively causing them to become a void of absolute darkness. As such the constructs will appear as two dimensional, even to Doujutsu wielders, making them incredibly deceptive and impossible to perceive their depth and dimensions. When utilized in a source of natural light the constructs of Mawscape will be hot to the touch due to their high level of emissivity; this creates a potent dual form of damage causing burns to those who come into contact with it. This effect is amplified when coming into contact with higher forms of light. A-Rank applications can be used with a single hand seal. S-Rank applications can be used four times per battle with two hand seals. S-Rank applications cannot be used in consecutive turns and the user is unable to use Mawscape above A-Rank in the following turn.
(Doton: Arumajiro no yoroi)- Earth Release: Armour of the Armadillo

Description: This is the brother technique to Earth Release: Rubble Creation. Unlike its counterpart, this technique is more passive in nature. This user activates an ability which allows them to infuse additional Earth chakra into their own Earth-based techniques(includes Earth-based KG/CEs). As a result, any subsequent Earth technique performed by the user would emerge with an additional layer of rubble around it. The earthen particles coating the technique would be jagged and abrasive in nature. Hence, this grants the original Earth technique an extra dimension, in terms of its offensive potential, as it allows the original Earth technique to deal additional damage. In other words, all Earth techniques used while this is active grant a sort of ‘shredding’ property, which in turn, allows it to deal more damage than it originally would. For example, for techniques such as Destructive Rock Rising Pillars, the pillars that rise would be coated with the aforementioned particles, thus becoming somewhat abrasive(coupled along with its original blunt destructive power). The added mass also aids in its destructive potential. For techniques such as the Hardening technique, the rocks would be coated with more rubble, which would make it more ‘abrasive’ to the touch, and allow it to deal more damage(when used offensively). It would also serve as an additional defensive mechanism, and would grant the technique the ability to defend against techniques with 20 more damage points than usual. The rubble used for this technique must either originate from the terrain itself, or extruded from the user’s body itself. This means that for the most part, this technique only works on projectile-type techniques, and terrain manipulation techniques. This technique may not be used to enhance mud techniques. Activating this ability does not require any time whatsoever and is instant. This is because it does not do anything when used independently, and its effects are only realized when another earth-based technique is used.

Interesting, he too had absorption abilities, but how? I couldn't deduce just yet. Nonetheless, this fight would be interesting. Never had I fought a foe so calm, yet powerful. I had heard he was explosive in nature, and the right hand man to none other than the Mad King, Beserker. Judal often spoke of him. The one man that brought him close to death, and that is a feat in itself. He unleashed upon my flames, something odd that absorbed the Fire and canceled out with it. Handy, to say the least. And within mere moments, the ground beneath me would be affected, as not only a burning sensation, a dark void as well as a rumbling could be felt.

"This isn't a good sign.."

I stated, to myself, mostly. I leap off the ground to my right, and upward. Upon reaching a certified distance, I would manifest a super-flat hexagonal platform that propels me more to my right and upward. Basically acting like a spring, I activate another one, and blast forward, now closing in on the man. A single seal is formed, and I unleash a small ball of Soapstone from my mouth which travels toward him with ease. Suddenly it expands, and aims at swallowing the man, and crushing and compressing it within it. In the mean time, I would descend down, though not reach the ground just yet (I went up pretty high).

(Ninpo: Uchū U~ōkā)- Ninja Art: Universe Walker

Description: The user leaps powerfully off the ground and into the air. At the designated location, the user manifests a super-flat, hexagonal platform of chakra that rests vertically in the sky. Using the platform, the user pushes off in order to change his direction. Adding to this movement, the platform’s special characteristic comes into play. When the user connects with it, the platform recognizes the user's chakra. This immediately activates a chakra based, high-tension spring connected to a flat base (which is what the user is standing on) that is intended to propel the user off. This section is located wherever the user connects with the platform. This propels the user from the platform at speeds exceeding his ordinary capabilities. At each successive platform, the user’s speed increases by 25% (up to a max of 100% of their base speed) because of his continually increasing speed being accelerated by the springs. (Ex: The user rebounds off two platforms, each spring increasing his speed by 25%. The user now travels through the air at 1.5x his base speed). As long as the user has his speed increased by at least one platform, the user’s next immediate taijutsu technique is empowered by +20. (Ex: The user rebounds off of one spring, gaining speed. Using the speed and increased force, the user travels towards the ground and punches the opponent with the enhanced strike). The speed gain only applies to the user’s traveling speed while utilizing the springs and is not a sustained ability.

- Damage increase applies to only one taijutsu technique used in conjunction/after this technique

Description: After making a tiger handseal, the user spew a tennis ball size tadpole made of soapstone. The highly condensed and compressed soapstone tadpole can move/swim around the battle field at extreme speed(though trackable) and with the user's will, it can instantly expand upto a size of a bijuu-dama with gaping mouth and can compress back to his former size . This may be aimed towards the opponent directly or an incoming technique. When aimed at the opponent, it would expand and swallow the target and on the user's command, compresses, crushing them completely in its embrace. When aimed at a technique, it expands and swallows the technique though this depends on the rank of the technique. Once it eats a technique or an opponent/target, it compresses and becomes inert, falling to the ground.
NOTE: Usable 3x per battle, ocne every 3 turns
NOTE: Cannot use other soapstone techniques in the same turn.

This immediately activates a chakra based, high-tension spring connected to a flat base (which is what the user is standing on) that is intended to propel the user off. This section is located wherever the user connects with the platform. This propels the user from the platform at speeds exceeding his ordinary capabilities. At each successive platform, the user’s speed increases by 25% (up to a max of 100% of their base speed) because of his continually increasing speed being accelerated by the springs. (Ex: The user rebounds off two platforms, each spring increasing his speed by 25%. The user now travels through the air at 1.5x his base speed). As long as the user has his speed increased by at least one platform, the user’s next immediate taijutsu technique is empowered by +20. (Ex: The user rebounds off of one spring, gaining speed. Using the speed and increased force, the user travels towards the ground and punches the opponent with the enhanced strike). The speed gain only applies to the user’s traveling speed while utilizing the springs and is not a sustained ability.

Description: After making a tiger handseal, the user spew a tennis ball size tadpole made of soapstone. The highly condensed and compressed soapstone tadpole can move/swim around the battle field at extreme speed(though trackable) and with the user's will, it can instantly expand upto a size of a bijuu-dama with gaping mouth and can compress back to his former size . This may be aimed towards the opponent directly or an incoming technique. When aimed at the opponent, it would expand and swallow the target and on the user's command, compresses, crushing them completely in its embrace. When aimed at a technique, it expands and swallows the technique though this depends on the rank of the technique. Once it eats a technique or an opponent/target, it compresses and becomes inert, falling to the ground.

Responding in kind, the Knight of Havoc leaps forward as well - directly at the ball of soapstone rushing toward him. But he had no intent of being trapped. In a display of power, Avenger molds chakra visibly around his body which forms a large magenta shroud. Just as quickly as the chakra formed, however, so too does the shape of the beast that would come forth. With a dramatic entry, the chakra forms the body of the Ethereal Guardian in an angelic form. Essentially, it encases Avenger's body within it and acts as an armor in the shape of a heavenly angel. Losing all of his natural momentum, the angel takes control of his flight path with its celestial wings flapping behind it. The angel is roughly thrice Avenger's size and, due to the infusion which altered its color, is essentially immune to solid-based physical techniques, occurring within the same timeframe. Thus, as Avenger and the Angel which encases him clash with the soapstone, it simply turns to dust and is quickly sealed away. With its free hand the Angel slams against Lawliet, bringing down the full force of its beautiful power upon him. The fury of the heavens unleasehd. The two were now within short-range of each other.

Description: Ethereal Guardian is an advanced Fūinjutsu utilizing common principles found in Barrier Techniques. Typically barriers are thought of as static, geometric and defensive constructs. However this preconceived notion has been proven false through barrier techniques such as the Four and Six Red Yang Formations. Both barriers were made to be highly malleable to shape themselves in order to relieve pressure from offensive techniques and redirect them. They were also able to be shaped in accordance with the user’s needs; this is further supported through other Fūinjutsu techniques, such as Sealing Technique: Abhorrence. Thus, by extension, it is reasonable to produce familiars with natural shapes such as a dog, bird, snake, or even humanoid. With this notion of malleability and versatility in mind Ethereal Guardian also applies the common principle of familiars – semi-sentient creations which feed off of the user’s chakra reserves. Through the combination of the two this technique allows the user to create familiars composed of barriers which undergo advanced shape manipulation. These familiars, as previously mentioned, are granted the same form of sentience granted to normal elemental familiars. This is done through the passive siphoning of chakra from the user to allow for their sustainment. Through this sentience the familiar is capable of operating independently from the user’s concentration freeing the user to perform tasks independent from the familiar. Ethereal Guardian’s primary strength is its incredible versatility in shape transformation and applications – essentially limiting the user to only what his imagination is able to produce and conceive. For instance, the user is able to create a bird composed of a barrier shaped into its form; due to its shape the bird would be capable of flight and able to move independently of the user. A second example is the creation of an average humanoid shaped familiar. This familiar would be capable of running and granted normal full range of movement. However, while logically a bird is able to fly and a humanoid is able to run, this technique allows for the user to break those logical limitations. Because of the nature of the technique all creations are able to attain a form of flight or levitation to some degree, all moving as fast as the user’s base speed. Thus, a humanoid with no wings is capable of levitation and flight. The greatest limitation to this is the amount of chakra put into the technique. Additionally, the user is capable of creating multiple familiars. In this case, the familiars will follow the normal splitting rules. Two familiars created will be equivalent to B-Rank and granted equivalent capabilities while four familiars created will be equivalent to C-Rank and granted the same. These familiars are created within short-range of the user. By default, the barrier which composes them only possesses static characteristics. Meaning it will deal damage based upon the shape it is in, always equivalent to A-Rank. Thus, a bird with a talon can cut and pierce, equivalent to A-Rank damage. While a human with a fist can punch, equivalent to A-Rank damage. By default the creation(s) will possess a translucent white color. Creations can be sustained for four turns. This technique can be used twice per battle and cannot be used in consecutive turns. Cannot create new creations from a second usage unless the creations previously created were destroyed. Constructs are at max 20 meters in height.
(Fūinjutsu: Seishin Iyashi) – Sealing Technique: Spiritual Acquiescence

Description: This supplementary infusion technique can only be used in conjunction with Sealing Technique: Ethereal Guardian. Barriers have been shown to possess numerous characteristics; these range from reactive damage on physical contact to barriers which are intangible in nature able to drain chakra or produce high levels of physical pressure to restrict movement and resourcefulness in combat. Working in conjunction with Ethereal Guardian this technique simply acts to endow the familiar with specialized barriers. By default, Ethereal Guardian employs a barrier which is only able to inflict blunt or sharp damage on contact. Through an infusion of chakra within the same timeframe the user is able to endow the created Ethereal Guardian with a specialized barrier allowing for different types of damage or effects. Regardless of the barrier characteristics infused this technique will empower the Ethereal Guardian by an additional rank, or an effective +20 damage. This technique, like Ethereal Guardian, can be used twice. Only one barrier can be infused into one application of Ethereal Guardian. When multiple familiars are created through Ethereal Guardian then their rank will be split as normal as will the potency of the barriers; all Guardians will possess the same barrier type. The barriers are as listed:

Violet; perhaps the simplest infused barrier. This barrier acts in a similar manner to Shishienjin. When infused the Ethereal Guardian’s default color will instead become a violet/purple. Like Shishienjin when the Ethereal Guardian comes into contact with solid matter or an opposing force it will burn the target with violet flames. Much like Amaterasu the violet flames will spread and consume the target, should they fail to be dealt with. While the barrier itself will produce violet flames on contact the Ethereal Guardian will retain its default tangible abilities allowing it to still produce physical damage on contact. While potent and highly aggressive in nature the flames, to the user, remain inert allowing the user to come into contact with his or her Guardian without repercussions.

Blue; the Blue barrier represents the peace which water emulates and possesses no innately offensive qualities. The barrier will change the Ethereal Guardian into a magnificent ocean blue instead of its default translucent white. The Blue barrier sheds all tangible characteristics and thus will deal no direct damage on contact with an opponent becoming effectively intangible. Like the ocean’s ability to sap the strength of unsuspecting swimmers caught in rip tides the Guardian will become able to sap the chakra of those it phases through. For each turn or instance that the Guardian phases through a target this technique will effectively drain 100 chakra. Should the user make contact with their own familiar it will not drain chakra from the user. If the familiar has drained chakra prior to contact it will be able to return the chakra to its user. When used against summonings of equivalent rank instead of draining chakra the familiar will cause the summoning to disperse.

Black; based on the Barrier Shatter Technique the Black barrier possesses the default offensive tangible abilities that the Ethereal Guardian is created with. When infused the Guardian’s default color will become absolute black, much like a cosmic black hole. The Black barrier creates a twist of the Barrier Shatter Technique allowing it to interact with barriers and, instead of shattering them, absorb them like a black hole. The Black barrier is able to absorb S-Rank and below barriers regardless of their nature and will increase the familiar’s effective strength by +20 for the duration of the technique. Should the familiar come in contact with a barrier of the user’s it will remain inert at the user’s volition allowing the familiar to pass without absorption.

Magenta; based on the Elemental Sealing Method technique this familiar will retain its default offensive tangible abilities while also gaining specialized sealing abilities. When infused the Guardian’s default color will become magenta. The Magenta barrier creates a specialized pressure within the technique which allows it to interact with tangible elements (water, earth, steel, etc) in a unique way. The barrier will exert extreme pressure allowing it to pulverize the physical element within and then seal it within. This sealing method is capable of sealing up to Forbidden ranked physical-based techniques. Against intangible elements (wind, lightning, etc) the familiar will retain its normal S-Rank strength.

Crimson; perhaps the most violent barrier infusion the Crimson barrier provides certain explosive qualities. When infused the Guardian’s default color will become a blood red crimson. The Crimson barrier is a twist on the Sealing Trap Explosion technique. When the familiar detonates it will effectively end its life producing an explosion spanning a mid-range radius from its location. The explosive nature of this barrier can be used in multiple ways. The first is by default when an opponent comes within short-range of the barrier, like the Sealing Trap Explosion, it will cause the familiar to explode. Alternatively the user can prevent this by willing the familiar to remain inert and detonate at a time of their choosing. This requires the user to be aware of the familiar’s location and interactions, however. The familiar will retain its default tangible abilities.

Now getting closer and almost in Short range, I launch another explosive tag kunai, as I seemingly start running on air, as I form steps of Wind beneath me, as I aim to make my way in an arc like curve around the man, to my right, his left. I flip off, sending all the steps towards him. These aim to impact him, and cause some damage.

In doing so, the user releases a small 1x1 rectangular Wind shape, from his heel, onto the opponent's head for blunt damage. Alternatively, these steps can be used as an evasion method, allowing the user to create these steps from the barriers, and use them to move around an opponent for example, or over an obstacle, only to release the barriers towards the opponent once done.

The death of the angelic Ethereal Guardian always softened Avenger's fiery rage; it brought on a somber mood that slightly saddened him. He believed in no gods, but the death of a messenger of heaven always was a somber moment. Even if it was a mere product of his chakra. But he refocused himself. The explosion had launched him backwards somewhat, throwing him off his original flight course. With his Force motion sensory he detects the Kunai and Lawliet's movement. In response, he activates his signature technique: the Vestments of Divine Imperials. Activation of this technique was akin to the Mangekyou Sharingan; it was not simply a transformation... it was an ascension to higher power. Quickly Avenger's form is overtaken by a shroud of Explosive energy. Accompanied by this transformation, the Civic Crown too formed on Avenger and also inscribed his body with the Kanji for 'Exalted.' This was his ultimate weapon against Dark Release wielders; his trump card against Jeanne. It was the ultimate union of Fuuinjutsu and Explosion Release. Avenger allowed his body to slam into the kunai and Wind Blades, it mattered little. With his elemental superiority, the clash would simply spark Avenger's reactive body and release an explosion that would strike back at Lawliet. The full strength of the heavens.

Description: The user focuses and channels copious amounts of Bakuton chakra throughout their entire body causing the user’s very form to manifest the properties of pure Bakuton chakra. The result is the user’s body, not simply their skin, will turn into raw explosive energy. The explosive energy manifests itself as a dark bloody crimson expanding throughout the user. This technique, in essence, causes the user to transform into a living bomb. Vestments of Divine Imperials provides inherent natural defenses through this transformation. However, despite what this technique suggests, this does not cause the user to become a suicide bomb. The basic defenses provided by Vestments of Divine Imperials is essentially a reactive armor taking on the properties of an explosion while also allowing the user, because of the very nature of their body, to become immune to their own explosions. The reactive defense provided by Vestments causes opposing techniques, within elemental weaknesses and strengths, to strike the user’s body and produce a reactive natural explosion. The explosions produced act as a natural defense enabling the user to neutralize invading forces. These explosions, due to their neutralizing nature, will reflect the size, speed, and power of the invading force. Because of the user’s incredible control enabled by Vestments of Divine Imperials they will be able to decide entirely at their volition whether objects which strike them will be met by an explosion or not. This only applies to objects which the user has awareness of. Objects and forces which strike the user unknowingly will be naturally met by an explosion of the above set proportions whether according to the user’s will or not. Because the user effectively transforms and converts his body into raw explosive energy he sheds certain traits of his biological body. No longer can the user suffer from pain, rendering them unable to use pain to release from illusionary techniques. Additionally, the user can no longer suffer from the biological effects of poisons, yet certain corrosive agents can still harm the user’s explosive form in some ways if not able to be overpowered by the explosion. However, the user is also vulnerable to Lightning Release techniques due to their unique interactions with Explosion Release. In essence Lightning Release is able to diffuse explosions effectively resulting in the paralysis of the user should he or she be struck. This technique enables the user to defend against S-Ranks and below of neutral elements (A-Ranks and below for weaknesses, F-Ranks and below for strengths). If the user is struck by an attack weaker than their transformation, their explosive form will not weaken or decrease in power at all. If the user is struck with an attack that will neutralize their transformation, the two cancel one another out and the user reverts to their original form unharmed. If the user is struck with an attack that overpowers their transformation, the user's body reverts to it's original form and sustains the remaining damage (after the collision of techniques). Aside from this the user’s ability to weave hand seals, mold chakra, and otherwise all abilities prior to their conversion remain normal. However, while Vestments of Divine Imperials is active the user is only able to use Bakuton and the elements which compose it, their primary elemental affinity and any CEs based on these elements as well as non-elemental abilities. Vestments of Divine Imperials lasts for four turns and can be used twice per battle. On the turn this technique expires the user is unable to produce Lightning, Earth, or Explosive techniques above S-Rank in the same turn. Additionally, upon expiration the user’s body is returned back to its normal biological state. Due to the conversion the user’s base speed will be reduced by 2 levels one turn thereafter. Explosions which occur from the user’s body, voluntarily or not, happen passively but cost one of the user’s three moves per turn. Seals and items otherwise on the user's body during their transformation retain their normal abilities. Body seals will become inscribed as explosive energy in their normal positions.
(Bakuton/Fūinjutsu: Tentai Hōfuku) – Explosion Release/Sealing Technique: Celestial Retribution

Description: Celestial Retribution is an advanced technique employing the creation of the Coat of Arms of the Emperor. The technique is initiated through a surge of chakra throughout the user’s body to produce a familiar composed of entirely Explosive chakra on their chest. The familiar takes the form of the Civic Crown of the Emperor, his coat of arms. The familiar is imbued, through a passive consumption of the user’s chakra, a limited form of sentience. While the Civic Crown is unable to move from the user’s body it is able to act independently of the user and free his concentration on the technique. The Civic Crown acts to mark the sacred property of the Emperor and carry out the punishment upon those who attempt to steal it. To carry out this sacred task the Civic Crown employs an advanced form of Fūinjutsu. In order for the Emperor to mark his property the technique adds an additional dimension of shape manipulation through an infusion of chakra; this is done by passively consuming the user’s chakra and infusing it independently of the user into techniques at his volition. The added manipulation will in effect ‘inscribe’ the Kanji for ‘Exalted’ in the user’s Explosion Release techniques while also causing the color of the Explosion to shift becoming a dark crimson; although this coloration is largely cosmetic and can be shifted through the use of other techniques which influence light or coloration. When used on raw Explosion Release techniques, such as Explosive energy, malefic infernos, or simple explosions, this technique will create the Kanji in the body of the Explosion itself, always in the direct view of the opponent. Alternatively, this infusion can be used alongside Mandate of Heaven, Hell, and their variants. When used in conjunction with Mandate of Hell the Kanji will be initially inscribed in the solid body of the matter it is applied upon and then remain inscribed as it converts itself into Explosive energy. When used with Mandate of Heaven the solid matter which is infused will gain the inscription upon it. In its simplest form the infusion produces a highly malleable, intangible, and transparent barrier within the Explosion. Because of its malleability and intangibility the barrier can easily shape itself to fit the Explosion and its contents and will proactively shape itself as the explosion expands into its apex or changes shape. The barrier itself offers little in normal elemental interactions and does not inherently increase the strength of the Explosion Release technique it is applied to. However, the barrier, much like the barrier found in Sealing Technique: Abhorrence, acts to protect the Emperor’s techniques against specialized sealing/absorptive natured abilities. Against these techniques which employ an ethereal state of chakra draining, absorptive, or sealing qualities advanced Fūinjutsu or otherwise, the barrier will make its abilities known in order to protect the Emperor’s sacred Explosions. These abilities include Dark Release Absorption, advanced Fūinjutsu, and abilities which consume chakra such as specialized Water Release. The first ability mimics that found in Sealing Technique: Abhorrence. It will directly prevent the sealing or absorption of the user’s and is able to repel S-Rank and below techniques which attempt to seal or absorb the user’s techniques. The second ability is the barrier’s ability to issue a punishment to those who attempt to steal the Emperor’s property. While preventing the user’s techniques from being sealed this technique will instead release a portion of the user’s chakra to initiate the punishment. Those techniques which perform their absorption will instead be met by an infusion of the user’s chakra which causes the opponent’s chakra system to gain explosive like tendencies. The result is the opponent’s very chakra system will begin to ‘explode’ causing the destruction of 50 chakra per turn while also causing severe pain. The pain which the opponent experiences is equivalent to the pain required to shatter an A-Ranked illusion; stabbing one’s self in a minor muscle, cutting one’s self, breaking small bones, etc. Thus, it is a nuisance to experience in heated combat. The rank of the infection is equivalent to the rank of the Explosion Release technique used and requires a full body surge in equivalent rank to shatter.

Celestial Retribution can be used once per battle and when used the Civic Crown will remain on the field for a maximum of four turns. Due to its nature this technique is activated instantly and infusions occur within the same timeframe as the technique they are applied to. Alone, the familiar cannot move independently of the user and will remain static on his chest.

Suddenly, an explosion is triggered. This man was known for his Blast prowess, and so close to him, I would be at a grand disadvantage. He had not taken it lightly that I took out his guardian angel that enveloped him. Nonetheless, without wasting time, I would do two things simultaneously. Passively, I activate a seal that enhances my prowess with certain techniques, as I focus my Lightning chakra into my right hand, and cover it with a massive Chidori. This spreads out, and unleashes a massive blast at a 120 degree angle before me. Its power ravages through the explosion, and is able to take care of it, whilst heading on toward the man. I then quickly pop a pill into my mouth, it was time to get things going.

In exchange for limiting the user to certain element(s), the user's techniques of the remaining elements will gain one rank and in the case of S-Ranks and above they will gain +20 damage. In the case of defensive and supplementary techniques, they will become capable of defending against techniques with 20 more damage points (only applies to S-Ranks and above). This counts as a passive boost rather than an active one due to the nature of the seal. To clearly illustrate the seal’s use in battle, if the user restricted themselves to Steel Release, they would still have access to Earth, Fire and any CE combinations of the aforementioned elements (elements that use solely earth, solely fire or Earth and Fire). Alternatively, the user can create the seal in the middle of a battle but this usage can only be used once. This usage is fast enough to be used in the same time-frame as the subsequent technique. Once activated, this technique lasts until canceled.

Suddenly, an explosion is triggered. This man was known for his Blast prowess, and so close to him, I would be at a grand disadvantage. He had not taken it lightly that I took out his guardian angel that enveloped him. Nonetheless, without wasting time, I would do two things simultaneously. Raw power. That was what was contained in that Lightning technique. It didn't take a mind reader or scholar to deduce what that technique was; and what it could to do the Knight's 'armor.' Thankfully, he was always prepared. Was the lightning approached the Mayer's Band on Avenger's wrist self activates and seals the Lightning technique within it with ease. Such power, reduced to nothingness in mere moments. Simultaneously as the Band acts, Avenger applies his Majesty technique, which launches him toward Lawliet at incredible speeds through the air. This effectively creates simulated jetpack-like flight. His body would slam into Lawliet's producing an explosion, in conjunction with the explosion that propelled him in the first place. "I am but Avenger; the Knight of Havoc sworn to the Black King, Berserker."

Description: This seal, Mayer's Band, was created by an Uzumaki prior to their village's destruction. The jutsu's purpose revolves around the ability to identify and seal foreign energy produced by the user's enemies. The seal itself is placed onto a wrist band and it is a kanji line shaped like a pentagon with open circles placed at every point of the shape. When foreign energy enters short range of the user, the circles on the wristband emit a bright colorful light signifying to the user that an energy different from the energies known to them has broken their perimeter. The sealing band cannot inform the user about the type of energy being used, but it can and does tell the difference between the various energies it comes across, and thus repeats the same color glows corresponding with that energy when met again. Once the energy is close enough the seal will release a special energy absorbing barrier around the user protecting them for that one attack before sealing the foreign energy into the wristband protecting the user. The jutsu is quite helpful for shinobi who don't have any energy sensing abilities, and its sealing effect only lasts a limited time. After sealing its maximum amount of energy the band will only work as an energy identifier for the user, but it will no longer be able to seal energy.

Description: Imperial Majesty is a highly versatile Explosion Release technique to be used while Vestments of Divine Imperials is active. Applying the user’s explosive energy state he or she will produce explosions at any point on their body enabling them to be propelled against the air in the direction of their choosing. The explosions are highly versatile in nature allowing for the user to shape and manipulate them upon creation effectively negating recoil and preventing damage by angling the explosions outwards while also determining their width. The explosions, as previously mentioned, will propel the user against the air allowing for the user to take evasive measures in order to avoid techniques within logical reason and speed. Alternatively, this technique can be used to propel the user and then be sustained enabling for a limited form of flight/levitation by setting off a small chain reaction of explosions at the chosen location on the user’s body. The chain of explosions used to sustain this technique is maintained by passively draining the user’s chakra over time. When Imperial Majesty is used offensively or defensively the user can instead apply the propulsion against a living body or opposing technique, respecting elemental weaknesses and strengths. The explosion will act to propel the user in the opposite direction of the targeted body inflicting A-Rank damage. Imperial Majesty can be used four times per battle.

Description: The user focuses and channels copious amounts of Bakuton chakra throughout their entire body causing the user’s very form to manifest the properties of pure Bakuton chakra. The result is the user’s body, not simply their skin, will turn into raw explosive energy. The explosive energy manifests itself as a dark bloody crimson expanding throughout the user. This technique, in essence, causes the user to transform into a living bomb. Vestments of Divine Imperials provides inherent natural defenses through this transformation. However, despite what this technique suggests, this does not cause the user to become a suicide bomb. The basic defenses provided by Vestments of Divine Imperials is essentially a reactive armor taking on the properties of an explosion while also allowing the user, because of the very nature of their body, to become immune to their own explosions. The reactive defense provided by Vestments causes opposing techniques, within elemental weaknesses and strengths, to strike the user’s body and produce a reactive natural explosion. The explosions produced act as a natural defense enabling the user to neutralize invading forces. These explosions, due to their neutralizing nature, will reflect the size, speed, and power of the invading force. Because of the user’s incredible control enabled by Vestments of Divine Imperials they will be able to decide entirely at their volition whether objects which strike them will be met by an explosion or not. This only applies to objects which the user has awareness of. Objects and forces which strike the user unknowingly will be naturally met by an explosion of the above set proportions whether according to the user’s will or not. Because the user effectively transforms and converts his body into raw explosive energy he sheds certain traits of his biological body. No longer can the user suffer from pain, rendering them unable to use pain to release from illusionary techniques. Additionally, the user can no longer suffer from the biological effects of poisons, yet certain corrosive agents can still harm the user’s explosive form in some ways if not able to be overpowered by the explosion. However, the user is also vulnerable to Lightning Release techniques due to their unique interactions with Explosion Release. In essence Lightning Release is able to diffuse explosions effectively resulting in the paralysis of the user should he or she be struck. This technique enables the user to defend against S-Ranks and below of neutral elements (A-Ranks and below for weaknesses, F-Ranks and below for strengths). If the user is struck by an attack weaker than their transformation, their explosive form will not weaken or decrease in power at all. If the user is struck with an attack that will neutralize their transformation, the two cancel one another out and the user reverts to their original form unharmed. If the user is struck with an attack that overpowers their transformation, the user's body reverts to it's original form and sustains the remaining damage (after the collision of techniques). Aside from this the user’s ability to weave hand seals, mold chakra, and otherwise all abilities prior to their conversion remain normal. However, while Vestments of Divine Imperials is active the user is only able to use Bakuton and the elements which compose it, their primary elemental affinity and any CEs based on these elements as well as non-elemental abilities. Vestments of Divine Imperials lasts for four turns and can be used twice per battle. On the turn this technique expires the user is unable to produce Lightning, Earth, or Explosive techniques above S-Rank in the same turn. Additionally, upon expiration the user’s body is returned back to its normal biological state. Due to the conversion the user’s base speed will be reduced by 2 levels one turn thereafter. Explosions which occur from the user’s body, voluntarily or not, happen passively but cost one of the user’s three moves per turn. Seals and items otherwise on the user's body during their transformation retain their normal abilities. Body seals will become inscribed as explosive energy in their normal positions.

Unexpected, his forward propulsion as my technique turned into nothingness. He was impressive, powerful, rash and well, exciting. I knew any moment, any encounter, could mean certain death for me. This was indeed exciting, living at the edge of life and death, one moment could define my entire life. Only one moment. With two hand seals, the air before me would be shifted, as Chloroform itself manifested, creating a massive being, lightly brown in color and deeply scented. Shaped like a humanoid warrior, two arms and legs and several tentacles on its back. These tentacles grabbed onto me and flung me in an arc, to my left, around the path of the raging incoming warrior of death and hatred, toward the ground at quite some speed. Due to the solidity of the Chloroform it is able to latch onto me with ease, and grab me akin to how a water based technique would. However, it also aimed to serve another purpose. Insufficiently acting as a defense for the Avenger, the Chloroform being would simultaneously step forward to get closer and it would rapidly evaporate due to the intense heat emanating from his body, shifting the scented liquid into a gaseous form, technically taking care of its offensive potential. Or did it? Inhalation of said gas, would immediately numb and paralyze the body of the Knight of Havoc, despite the power carried by his embrace, its gaseous form, however, out of my control as it hung in the air around him.

As I was launched, and went toward the ground, I would spin my body to face back toward where the Avenger would go, and launch a single "bomb" of Lightning with my right hand. This bomb explodes, in a massive 10 meter radius, destroying whatever was around it, as I crash into the ground, doing a roll. I quickly dusted myself off, as I got up once more. I knew Avenger was a roach, he wouldn't die easily. No, not even death could hold back this man's fury and rage. He was filled with it.

Description: The user will perform two handseals and manipulate their Chloroform based chakra, into an existing source of Chloroform or simply the air or ground. Through doing so, the user is able to form from the liquid form of Chloroform, creatures merely limited to the users' imagination. These creatures carry a form of sentience, where they are able to think and move on their own, while the user is open to use other techniques. They move at the speed of an Unofficial Sage. These creatures vary in size, from around 1 meter, to the largest being 15 meters in size and height. Their size is dependent on the rank of creature created via the technique, with S rank being the largest. The creatures maintain a quasi-solid form when created, with their exterior being solid-like and within them, the liquid Chloroform preside. This allows them to cause both blunt impact (directly proportional to the rank formed), and release at the cost of a move, a blast of Chloroform from their bodies through their mouths, or from a swipe of their limbs (un-ranked). As the creatures created can be formed based on imagination, the user is able to create both normal existing creatures as one as one's that fit the situation. The creatures are limited to their physical features (ones with wings are able to fly, and those with legs are able to run, etc). With the formation of a single hand seal, the user is able to expel the creature in the form of an explosion, unleashing outwards their liquid Chloroform towards an intended target or in a 360 degree explosion, drenching them in the sweet scented liquid.
