Destruction of the Whirlpool

Now I know the Village Hidden among the Whirling Tides was destroyed in a war due to the other villages being afraid of there sealing techniques

I was wondering if this happened due to Tobi's control over Yagura (I'm aware that it doesn't state which village/nation did the deed) as they could have been seen as a threat to his long term goal of the moons eye plan I wouldn't go as far as saying hes a prep master but hes definatly pretty good at it.

If the culprit was revealed to be Tobi I could see him taunting Naruto basically telling him, this one time I killed your mum and dad (sort of) and before that I killed pretty much everyone who is even remotely related to you.

I believe its because of tobi. and the fact that they probably have some special link to the so6p that we havnt found out about yet

i agree, i believe it was tobi who did it to get rid of KGs that might threaten his plan.
also explains why under yagura, they killed ppl with KGs

yeah i can see tobi doing that to him so yeah he might have destroyed the village.
