Despite Obito's near death experiences, he did not awake the Rinnegan. Why?

Obito should have awaken the Rinnegan on several near death situations, namely:

1. During the fight with origami princess Konan, he was blown to bits; and
2. When his ten tails chakra was pulled out.

In particular, his state of emotion when his ten tails chakra got pulled out was very strong - he though of Rin and being the Hokage. All these points to Rinnegan. However, Kishi did not allow that to happen. What a waste.

It was never stated that you awakened the Rinnegan near death.

Madara said he awakened the Rinnegan on the verge of death, but that was just because of his old age. He still lived past the point of unlocking Rinnegan for at least 10 years, or close to it, as Nagato had his Rinnegan from a young age to the point where Madara died, which Nagato would be almost 20, I'd say.

There must be other ways to awake the Rinnegan. Look, Rikudo Sennin did not obtain his Rinnegan via EMS. And I dont see why one would need to have an EMS in order to get the Rinnegan. Anyway, with the help of Hashirama's DNA, Obitio's MS is already functioning like an EMS.

Maybe because he is currently using Madara's eye, that's why his body did not react to the need to evolve the MS.

Currently Most logical powerup for sasuke would be PS enhanced with Yata mirror and totsuka blade, Kishi did not show their full potential IMO.
