well many of you may have already known that one of the biggest torrent host site demon0id has been offline for quite a while now....it is said that demon0id has been hit by a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, bringing down the famous BitTorrent tracker to its knees. The torrent website has been inaccessible to its millions of users for more than a day and is expected to remain offline for quite some time.:(

Damn i was downloading a korean movie....and it is stuck at 86%.....anybody was downloading anything?

You could always try a different torrent site. If it happens to be blocked, use an open proxy.

This isn't a thread to discuss torrent websites.

On-topic: Who did the Ddos attack?

I feel minimally suggesting alternatives to demon0id is sufficiently relevant.

And it was just a typical script kiddy attack in-the-wild.

It was done by Ukranian authorities.

Anyway, the same thing was done to TheP1rateB4y in 2006, but they came back online in three days after they were raided and look at them now. Anonymous have already announced to revenge Demon0id and to bring them up again.

And anonymous would not be able to do anything. At best they could retaliate by blocking some government websites. But to recreate a torrent database that huge is not easy, since I think the servers were sealed as well.
