I'll admit, that desktop is pretty sexy.

I wouldn't delete those if I were you, though. You can't just drop them in a different place? Like your "Documents" or "Computer" folder or something?

Sorry, I'm not sure if maybe Avast stops you from moving them (I don't know the slightest thing about Avast) and that's why you said "And I have Avast".. if so then ignore this post.
No, I also tried doing that, but it just automatically made a shortcut in the place where I want to copy it and the icon on my desktop stayed. And I just said that I have Avast because there was A guy here saying I need to install Avast.

And Lol, thanks

Whoops, guess I missed that guy's Avast post.

Anywho, I'm kind of stumped. Not sure why these folders are glued to your Desktop, or why you can't do anything to them. I don't really know what to say at this point, other than this:

Good luck with that.

If it is a program, uninstalling was a correct option. But since it is not the case, mark those icons as hidden and use appropriate folder setting. It should work. If they are system icons, using TweakUI can work.

try this - open cmd "command prompt", write DEL, move one space, grab the file from the desktop and drop it on the command prompt! - see if that works..

if it doesnt, then try moving it somewhere other than ur desktop first somehow.

I would suggest this also mostly this is a comical virus infection case!
i would recommend if u have the recycle bin then drag the icon and drop it into the recycle bin it helps maybe
or just restart the pc a couple of times idk

Odds are the icons are UAC enabled..

do this

and then when you're done, simply right click on the icons and click> take ownership, then delete them.

What Yard said, and to further it I would say check your account type and privileges maybe you have a normal user account as oppose to an administrator account

Good Luck!!!
