Yeah man the one redeeming feature about Itachi that made me appreciate him despite his constant fanwanking was that the guy has a sense of humour! He's surprisingly light-hearted which made me like him, funny how many Itachi fans never even acknowledge or notice this.

It's kind of hard for me to believe that a guy who killed all of his family members has a sense of humor though, realistically wise.

It's kind of hard for me to believe that a guy who killed all of his family members has a sense of humor though, realistically wise.

I feel like it's a glimmer at the fact that he actually was a person before all of this and the fact that little things shine through like that now he's not putting on an act are hugely important and give him that depth he needs. The fact that he has his own personality and it small bits of it manage to come through past the self-loathing, condescending tone and OP powers just shows how tragic his story is.

Without the odd dry remark he is literally just a walking ex machina, sage-like, plot messiah- stoic, self-hating and smug. Thank god I got over my Itachi hate to notice it.
