OT; the camera is for long ranged attacks, he uses it to see targets from a long distance up close so he can bomb them easily.

Don't know how he trained his eye tho .. all we know it's to counter genjutsu. (and most of all; counter itachi's genjutsu)

I guess he wanted to train against genjutsu since Itachi screw his mind.He wasn't talking about sharingan.
And I guess he did it like everybody else who trains to counter gen.
This thing is to zoom in/aim on targets.

well....we all know how GOOD he actually trained his eye against genjutsu in order to take on itachi,....but anyway....since he's a long range attacker, he needs that special lens(i don't think that's camera) in order to focus it attacks with precision....
