The micro bombs only work on breathing opponents, and the paths are all dead and therefore don't breathe. I think with Almighty Push and Universal Pull, Deidara wouldn't be able to keep out of range. Besides, the robot Pain has rocket things. It could intercept Deidara's bombs and attack him from a distance.

the explosion is the concentrated force of Blast release, which is ninjutsu, being unleashed. the clay-bombs act as a medium to contain the Blast release until its ready to be used

kakashi had an appropriate situation to swap himself with a clone,being buried in rubble, he also had 4 less paths watching him, the clones explosion wont even be a factor, worst case scenario it blows up asura path and he gets revived, then that trick wont work again, and diedara is screwed
