I was wondering how Orochimaru counters the Clay people that multiply. Forgot the name.

This can go two ways.

1. Orochimaru gets on manda and takes him out of the air with extended head+ kusanagi extending forever
2. C4 goes off countering literally everything in orochimaru's arsenal

with c3 restricted though... hm, tough.

Orochimaru wins imo. He more than likely already has info on Deidara due to his faithful spy in Akatsuki.
Mere explosions aren't doing much to Orochimaru at all, seeing as how a Kyuubi-enhanced Naruto smacked him across a forest and he merely smiled. That, and if he does get too injured, Oral Rebirth.
Meanwhile Manda and his other snakes would be a huge help. While C0 did kill Manda, just look at what happened. Deidara's strongest attack and Manda remained in one piece.

However, C4 would end it for Deidara. But I'm thinking Orochimaru would take him out before that happens.
