i think it would be fairly easily for deidara because gai isnt that smart (like sasuke) so he would fall for deidara's tricks

He might but then he might power out of it cuss I swear guy has that something in him thats not human. No wonder his called the green beast of konoha. Not to mention the eight gates it would def be a tough fight but Deidara would come out on top.

well Guy's amazing speed provides him the means to close the distance and also makes him the shinobi who is probably most capable of dodging deidara's explosions

well the suicide explosion is a different story because then they would both lose, but about the microscopic bombs...well if he is in eight gates it is certainly possible for him to survive

In my personal opinion I say Gai wins because deidara cant match him in experience and the fact is the only thing deidara has going for him is his explosions and I believe with guys speed and toughness he can survive/dodge through all those so then deidara screwed, especially since like I said before, guys speed allows him to close the distance and deidara needs that long distance to win

i couldnt agree more whats gai going to do punch c4 with asakuchikoo (whatever its called lol) than the bombs would go quicker

plus deidaras bird is fast he even was avoiding gaaras sand for a while

Agreed I admit I do forget that Deidara bird is fast but yes Deidara would win because this is kind of a bad match up for Guy.
