Deidara vs Jirayia

Who would win this fight?

I say Deidara only because Jirayia has too many disadvantages in this fight.

1) He is good at close range and mid range attacks but he has no long range attacks that would be effective to hit Deidara in the air
2) He has nothing to dispel Deidara's clay bombs. Let's face it, Sasuke was the perfect match since he had lightning style jutsus to diffuse Deidara's attacks. Jirayia would be out of luck.
3) Even in SM Jirayia wouldn't be fast enough to dodge C4 or Deidara's suicide bomb.
4) Summoning wouldn't help unless he wants his toads to die
5) Ma and Pa's genjutsu wouldn't work unless Deidara was in range of it.

The only way I see Jirayia winning is if somehow Deidara moved down close enough to were Jirayia could actually do something to him. And yes I know Jirayia is a Sannin and a beloved Sage but technically he has nothing to beat him. I'm prepare to take the heat from the fanboys.

If the battle goes on long enough for deidara to use C4, jiraiya will most likely already be in sage mode. In sage mode, he senses the massive chakra closing in on him and runs the crap away while ma and pa use frog song/ pa uses a strong fuuton to blow it away.

Long range attacks? Hair-needle spray, gamabunta's water cannons/extreme flame thrower, frog song, ma's water jet slicer, powerful katons.

Pretty sure that was anime only. Not one arrow was shot at deidara in cannon manga.

For most people to beat Deidara you need to kill him before he uses C4.

If he does use C4, it's gameover unless you can see the nano explosives (need sharingan or byakugan). Even then, you would also need lightning chakra to disarm the bombs or be insanely fast in order to get out of range.

If Jiraiya can stop Deidara from using C4 he has a good shot. If Deidara uses the C4 he wins, Jiraiya would just have no idea what to do.
