Basically where deidara fought sasuke if it was itachi instead could deidara beat itachi
itachi can use every technique but sussano and his health is where it was when he fought sasuke ( and itachi is alive not edo )
To be honest im not sure sasuke was able to counter deidara's explosive jutsu which is earth style with his electric style but itachi doesn't have electric chackra nature.
deidara trained his eye to be able to tell if he was in a gen jutsu or not.
and as a last resort he could blow himself up and take itachi out with himself ?
I THINK deidara would win without having to blow himself up i think he would have to use that massive explosive clone that makes bombs on the cellular level yes itachi would see the chackra with his sharingan but without electric style to counter deidara's earth style explosive jutsu i reckon deidara comes out on top.
Now with itachi useing sussano itachi would win.
but could itachis sussano withstand deidara making him self a bomb remember he blew up a massive chunk of the area and its surroundings is sussano capable of defending itachi from such a blast ?
come to think of it itachi using sussano isn't a guaranteed win ether deidara on his c4 clay bird stays in the sky out of itachi and his sussano's reach Has the ground spread with c4 mines and sends clay explosives at itachi's sussano how long could itachi hold out before his chackra runs out and his eyes start to bleed ?
AMATERASU is the only thing that will bring this into itachis favor sasuke was lucky he had the right chackra nature to counter deidara's earth style explosives Electric>Earth style
deidara could simply use a clay clone to not get hit by amaterasu or Its not impossible to dodge it he is on a clay bird in the sky he can dodge it
it could go either way pretty much i reckon itd be 1 or 2 deciding factors that would determine the outcome of the match
