I doubt he can blew himself up again and again. he blows clay and if that's the case he must have some clay in him. if you blow it once you need to "refill" it so that you can do it again.

plus deidara would be great to kill fodders in an instant and that's why he was put in ambush squad. however as I said that technique is good for killing numbers it's unnecessary to use it against 10 people. that's why he was defeated.

and there is still nagato. CT and his biggest ST are also super powerful.
and madara dropping a couple of huge meteors are way more effective than blowing himslef up.

No chance. If anything Deidara is third from the bottom of the akatsuki ahead of kakuzu and Hidan. Edo hidan would be useless because he is basically a zombie while alive, to use your term. Plus anyone with a lightning affinity would own Deidara. Darui could solo edo deidara easily.

i agree with you, the reason why he got sealed so quickly though is because kabuto didn't turn him into ruthless killing machine
