It would most definitely kill him. There wouldn't be anything left for Hidan to get sewn back.

Well i think he was called immortal because someone pulled a "dance of death" ritual on him.
He is basicly a ragdoll who can be fixed.

So yeah if he gets atomized he can not be alive.

That been said Deidara can own him with C1 bombs.
