Deidara is underrated!

Deidara's only supposed to be immune to ocular genjutsu, his eye (don't remember which one) was trained to be resistant to genjutsu if he ever engage Itachi in combat. However it failed as Sasuke's three tomoe sharingan was enough to fool him to believe he had won the battle. I think Deidara's own downfall was that he was too impatient, like his partner Sasori. This is why when all else failed when fighting against Sasuke, he became his art, at bad time when Sasuke was down and he could have resorted to different method of defeating him

Although its true that he was seeking for intel, Sasuke was going all out against Deidara to the point he ran out of chakra and lost a wing.

He casted genjutsu on Deidara true ,but Deidara's left eye saw through his gen and made a trap for Sasuke

Sasuke wasn't really out of chakra though and at the end he still wasn't serious from when he turned his sharingan off and still asked Deidara about Itachi...even though his eye saw threw the genjutsu doesn't make him immune because soon after he got caught back in it

C4 Karura is such a spectacular and fearsome Jutsu. Deidara is extremely powerful, Sasuke was just his worst possible matchup.

He's only good because he can fly. That's his only major pro.

I will admit that's a major advantage, but what about his stealthy c1, his microscopic c4, his clay clones and his genjutsu resilience?

Sharingan genjutsus are the strongest genjutsus. Even Itachi, Madara, Obito and Kakashi's basic tomoe genjutsus are kage level or higher. And don't get me started on Tsukuyomi, Izanami, Izanagi and KA.

I agree, lets not forget that he can make no hand sign clones since he managed to sub out with one against Naruto while armless, and he managed to hold his own against team gai and kakashi while almost taking them out, dude is a bad ass and personally is on my unofficial top 10 list, he is very underrated and does not get the respect he deserves.

The aiding in the country/nation destruction was a filler, but I doubt someone in Sasori's caliber can take down a nation all by himself.

Yup, he's one of the most underrated characters by far. Not just by power, but also the most important thing - character development and BACKSTORY. I hate that.
