In terms of aoe damage nothing short of bjuudama,juubidama and ETSB has beat him
And sure deidara might not have the greatest physicals like sasuke was able to damage him with his punches as was naruto
But that's really unimportant considering he relies on his explosions not his hand to hand power, like his explosions are able to one shot any akstsuki member least by feats as tobi died to konan's paper bombs before using izanagi to revive himself
