Basic Information
Name: Deidara
Gender: male
Age: 19 (deceased)
Clan: Iwakagure (missing nin)/Akatsuki
Looks:
Deidara was easily noticed by his long, blonde pony-tail, side-swept bangs, and glaring grey eyes. As a member of Akatsuki, he was seen wearing the clan's customary black cloak adorned with red-spotted clouds. His personalized ring is an iridescent turqoise-color with the kanji for blue (青). He often wore a scope over his left-eye, a technique he developed to combat his rival, Itachi's Genjutsu (visual illusion) techniques. Much like Itachi, he painted both fingernails and toenails a solid, glimmering black. He has two mouths with which to kneed chakra, on the palms of each hand, and one in his chest, with which to use his self-detonation technique. After losing his arms in a fight with Kakashi, his missing limbs were found and sown back together by Kakuzu (the remains of the operation are still visible).
An unbenownst amount of time following his death, Deidara was ressurrected by Kabuto, using the remains of Orochimaru's forbidden technqiues. His newly ressurected form appears to be in perfect condition, with no scars remaining from his fight with Naruto and Kakashi. He has, however, seems to have lost his clan-head protector, with the whites of his eyes now filled black.
Personality:
Deidara's personality was never tainted with malevolence nor evil, unbenownst to Naruto and the Hidden-leaf clan, but rather the restless spirit of an overly-eccentric artist. He had a profound belief that art (perhaps a metaphor for life), is to be lived quickly; that true beauty is only truly achieved by the instaneously-fleeting nature of a singular breathtaking moment, or achievement. He was known for his catchphrase, used before using his exploding-clay technique, "genjutsu wa bakuhatsu!" (art is an explosion), followed by nasal-grunting noises, such as "un", or "ne". His belief's in art directly oppose that of his master, and partner-in-crime Sasori the Puppet Master, who believes that true beauty is that which is everlasting, that withstands the test of time. Despite their opposing convictions, Deidara maintains a deep-level of respect for Sasori, both as a fellow artist and friend.
Deidara appears to be easily annoyed and irritated by the actions of others, despite his secret apprecation for those he works with (except perhaps Itachi). His buoyant energy maintains that he will never deny a challenge, whether it be friend or foe, as it is both a chance to display the measure of both his abilities and beauty of his artwork. Much like Naruto, his endless supply of flamboyant, youthful-energy both greatly attract and greatly annoy those that come into contact with him. Fellow light-hearted characters like Tobi and Sasori, for example, seem to share a great amount of respect for him, while stern-headed characters like Hidan and Itachi seem seem to grow easily irritated by his presence.
It is stated upon his introduction to the series, and by the elders of his village, and by others in Akatsuki that Diedara's hot-headedness will lead him to an untimely death, that he "seems like the type to die young".

History: Born in Iwakagure as a child-prodigy trained by the Third Tsuchikagure, he was praised at an early age for his brilliant sculptures. Not before long, Deidara's creations elevated to a level unprecedented. In his lust for greatness, he stole the village's missing scroll, allowing him to kneed his own chakra into a forbidden type of clay. The destructive power of his new creations lead to infamy as a renegade terrorist. Madara saught after him as a new member of Akatsuki, thus sending Itachi, Kisame, and Sasori to recruit him. Promptly refusing Akatsuki's offer, he was challenged by Itachi, in a gamble to either defeat Itachi in a duel, or join their forces. Easily fooled by the Uchiha's genjutsu, he begrudgingly became the youngest member of the ominous Akatsuki. He thereafter carried murderous vengeance against Itachi, having been dealt a huge blow to the ego, and loss of freedom. Realizing his powers were not a match for Itachi's, he nonetheless developed the ability to defend against the Sharingan, in hopes of someday having his revenge.
Other: Throughout his time with the Akatsuki, he served with two partners: Sasori and Tobi (after Sasori's defeat). Deidara sacrificed his own life in a battle with Sasuke, using his self-detonation chakra hidden within his chest in order to defeat his opponent. Believing himself to be the victor, he nonetheless gave his life in vain, as Sasuke was able to successfully flee from Deidara's impending attack. Sometime later, Kabuto, now having absorbed Orochimaru's abilities, joins forces with Madara. In an exchange to seemingly prove prove his worth, Kabuto revives Deidara along with Sasori, Kakuzu, Nagato, and Itachi to fight in the impending ninja war.
