raiton can range to from long range such as False Darkness to short range such as Raikiri and Chidori. Lightning has the main advantage against Earth since it can neutralize the element completely and is weakest agaisnt wind. despite being able to be combined with water to make ranton, if used against a water jutsu like Water Dragon, it might just make the Water Dragon stronger. raiton can be streamed into weapons and has the potential to exceed wind in cutting power. it can also heighten the nerves of a user, making them faster and increasing their reflexes. two raiton users are kakuzu through artificial means and fuka

*looks around and sees lightning strike rock. i close my eyes and envision lightning striking rock over and over and over while focusing on my chakra. at first nothing happens. i do this again and again, then as lightning strikes down towards me, i finally do it, but it barely protects me*

"Try it again, with less thought about getting hurt but just channelling your lightning chakra through your body."

hm hm. okay.

*closes eyes again. pictures myself getting struck by lightning but not caring, in fact im flipping of the lightning. then, after picturing this for a few minutes, i picture chakra surrounding my body, then turning into raiton, slowly at first but quicker and quicker. the lightning strikes me again and i protect myself again, but without caring what happens to me*

"Good now stand up."

*lightning disappear*

"Now snap your finger. While snapping it, channel lightning chakra into the finger making lightning flicker out of it."

like human torch does with fire? okay.

*i channel my lightning chakra to my hands and flick it, but nothing happens. to help, i picture the spark that happens when you try to ignite a lighter when it runs out of fuel, just to get the basic. then i do it again, but just a tiny spark happens.*

"Lol just like him."

"Now channel your lightning chakra through again but this time snap both hands making the spark even bigger."

okay.

*i channel chakra into my hands again, but this time focus mostly on the parts of my finger where the snapping happens. then i snap both fingers, both produce small sparks. i do this again and again, thinking about a bigger spark each time. finally, the sparks double in sixe, then triples.*

okay, seems simple enough.

*focuses chakra into hands and snap fingers, creating spark. then i move my hand a little so that when i snap, it looks like im firing a gun. i snap again, but the spark dies out a centimeter from my finger. then i focus on shooting the spark. the spark fires off, but explodes before it could work. i try again and again, but only manages to shoot one.*

"Try it again with more lightning chakra and concentration."

*focuses more chakra. before i do it, i picture an arrow: skinny, sharp, pin-point accuracy. then i let it out and a bolt comes out.*

*i do it again and again, but cant fire three in rapid succession. i fire two, but the third falls short.*

*i channel chakra into my hand and focuses on the lightning travelling over to you and shocking you. i press my hand against the ground, but it explodes causing to fall down. i try again and the same happens. i continue and manage to channel the chakra through the ground but it doesnt get very far.*

*nothing happens, and hears crickets*

"Umm, what happen. Never mind that, channel lightning chakra again in your hand. Slam your hand on the ground releasing all the lightning chakra making a surge of lightning across the ground shocking my clone."

*i do this again and again, with the lightning getting further and further bit by bit. finall, it hits your clone*
