What's up? What you have think up, fam? Tell me what you know about DADA
Defense Against the Dark Arts is the direct counterpart to the heavily offensive/malicious Dark Arts. As Dark Arts focuses on spells (jinxes, hexes and curses) which harm their targets, DADA spells will often seek to shield and protect. The Shield and Patronus Charms jump to mind. There are also spells which seek to directly counter the effects of certain Dark Arts spells (counter jinxes), though I don't think we have any of those.

It's also closely linked to wizards and witches who are pro-muggle/muggle-born.
I'm a bit more interested in dark arts, but ya that's the basics i think

DADA is an art of Mahou used to defend or combat dark arts, Dark creatures and other forms of darkness or ill intent. It is very useful in terms of defensive mechanisms, though it isn't limited purely to its defensive aspects. It can be used in many offensive ways, but I'd label this as something essential in terms of survival type of mahou. Not much i can say on this, other than most dark wizards can't learn high levels of DADA, and it is something more useful to wizards on the light side of things.

The first spell:

Impediment Jinx: - Supplementary
The Impediment Jinx ( Impedimenta ) is a jinx that renders a victim physically unable to move and halts moving objects. Appearing as a jet of scarlet light, the spell collides into an opponent and slams into them with great force and, without causing damage, is capable leaving the opponent unable to move. The effects are short lasting, however, never lasting more than a single turn, and can be countered by either preventing the charm from hitting the target or, once the effect triggers, overpowering it with raw physical power. The target can still mold chakra, however; its just that his muscles become unable to move.
Simply put, it's a spell that causes them to become immobile, locking muscles in place. This prevents movement but not chakra manipulation. Any questions?

Simple jutsu, causes paralysis when it strikes the opponent. It says it halts moving objects, so it'd be able to counter random Earth techs which are sent at the user? I assume so as it slams into opponent with great force (albeit without causing damage) so that force could be used to stop things sent at the user, but want to confirm. I have no other real questions tbh, fairly straightforward

Langslock: - Supplementary
Langlock is the incantation to a spell that causes one's tongue to affix to the roof of their mouth by using mahou itself to bind the tongue of the foe to the roof of their mouth. Invented for the sake of preventing someone from speaking aloud or even to prevent a spell from being cast, Langslock is a very useful spell that prevents the opponent from spewing jutsu from their mouth as well as using jutsu that require the mouth to make audible, clear sounds. This allows a wizard to counter another wizard by preventing them from speaking for a certain amount of time ( 4 turns ). Useable every 3 turns, this spell can be bested by a full body surge one rank higher than this one, requiring at least A rank chakra to break it.

If I were to use this in conjunction with a genjutsu (let's say a b-rank one), how would the process of breaking this combo work? Would an s-rank surge just break both?

This is the kind of jutsu I enjoy. Simple, but really cool. With the tongue bound to the roof of the mouth, not only would it stop streaming techs, but it'd stop other jutsus from being released from the mouth too as long as it's used before the opponent releases their jutsu. And Sound jutsus as well of course, those based around screaming/releasing sound from the mouth.

Oh actually, question. Can this be broken by pure advanced strength also? I know it's hard to have advanced mouth muscles, but just confirming
