Tobi: A mysterious ninja who claimed to be the infamous Madara until recently were he declared that he was "nobody".
DO NOT SAY THAT IT IS TOO LONG. IF IT IS SO THEN DON'T READ IT. SIMPLE!
The point of this thread is too make a better understanding of how Tobi's ability works.
This definition could be much more lengthier but that about sums him up. In I really wanted to go all out, I would say;
"A seemingly timeless shinobi who is allied with Uchiha Madara, fought on par with the Yellow Flash of Konoha, manipulated the Fourth Mizukage into creating an era of death within her country, spurred on the creation of the dreaded and formidable group of world-class criminals known as Akatsuki, and finally waged a war on the entire shinobi world.
And yet this man is still under-rated ... This thread will take a look in on the character known as Tobi and attempt to understand his motivations and power. This is an identity thread in the sense that it attempts to decipher, not his outward appearance, but his very soul.
Power: Tobi is an Uchiha (so he says) and also possess some of the Shodai Hokage's blood cells (as he used Izanagi). This allows him to use fire techniques (Kanejin) and also doujutsu (Kamui).
He also has the ability to phase through objects by making himself intangible (sending body parts to other dimension), "absorb" people into another dimension and launch things out of that dimension.
Some would say that he bears an astonishing complex body network as he is crafted out of Zetsu (partially) and manages to implant many Sharingan(s) and the Rinnegan.
Intellectually, he is on par (probably above) Shikamaru's intellect. I say so because he managed to emotionally manipulate Nagato into forming Akatsuki and manipulated Sasuke into destroying Konoha (essentially). Against his enemies, he can decipher their abilities and weakness to it (Danzo's men).
Ultimately, Tobi is a formidable foe. One, that should exist in the top ten list of Naruto combatants. Below, I will go more in depth on his unique abilities.
Next I will detail Tobi's feats. and how this makes him stand out from the other villains, notably Orochimaru and Madara.

Kamui: Tobi possess the right eye of Obito. Pay attention to this fact as it is essentially vital to his ability. First, I will get into Sasuke. He cast Amaterasu with his left eye and puts it out with his right. Kakashi caste Kamui using his left eye allowing him to teleport objects to another dimension. Ideally, Tobi using the right eye, allows him to "absorb" material into the other world and he can use it on himself to become intangible. This is all possible with Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan.
Now, the real part comes in. How can Tobi use the Mangekyo Sharingan when he only shows his three-tomoe Sharigan (until recently). The answer to this is simple; Senju DNA. Tobi claims that he has some when he fought Konan. Know, Danzo had Senju blood and could use Izanagi only utilizing his three-tomoe Sharingan. Apply this to Tobi and he can use the Mangekyo Sharingan ability while using his three-tomoe Sharigan! This explains why we've never seen his Mangekyo (until know).
