So Debbie Wasserman Schultz has won against progressive Tim Canova in the Florida 23rd Congressional District Primary.

This is just shameful. This is the woman who rigged the election against Bernie Sanders for Hillary Clinton while DNC chair and is a stooge for predatory payday lenders.

This is also the woman who maintained her position as DNC chair during Obama's presidency by using the anti-Semitic and sexist card.

Canova, who was endorsed by Bernie Sanders and managed to get his money through fundraising, spent his campaign bringing up the fact that Wasserman Schultz is a corporate tool and will not represent the people. (sounds familiar)

And when Florida had the opportunity to oust one of its worst offenders.....the people instead voted for her.

Oh and on top of that, Hillary Clinton paid Wasserman Schultz a surprise visit last month and praised her.....even though she was caught rigging an election.

What a great leader she is going to make right?

This really makes me lose hope in this country.

They think they know enough even though all they know about the candidates is whatever they hear on the news. Here in America apparently the only way to win an election is to be an incumbent/spend the most money or become a loud-mouthed demagogue like Trump because the mainstream news is terrible at doing their job and Americans are too dumb or lazy to look up information on the candidates. One time in Tennessee, a senator won because of name recognition even though he was anti-abortion but encouraged his wife and mistresses to get abortions.

The people who are to blame for Canova's defeat are no other than Sanders' former campaign manager and their "Our Revolution Organization" by not being permitted by law to coordinate with his campaign because their organization is classified as a Social Welfare Organization thanks to Jeff Weaver. The odds were already against Canova by running against an established veteran Florida congresswoman like Debbie but the debacle with Weaver and their organization in not being able to coordinate with Canova (not to mention the mass resignations at the Our Revolution organization) sealed his defeat.
