The moment shuji closes his eyes, he too becomes a rock. They're hearts stop and brains become inactive. Technically dead.

*both of the rocks completely dissappear as they melt completely into nothingness, the zombie put there concentration at the angel, billions of zombies starts charging at him*
Gin : hmmmmm, did they really give up like that? The rocks completely disappeared due to the overwhelming heat but as long as they are alive they will still stay trapped here.....
