Deathmatches - Deathlist

Hi guys!

Lets get this right once and for all, here is the entire list of real deathmatches and not deathmatches in Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. (Natural revival counts as not dead, Edo Tensei counts as dead)

Not deathmatches:
Madara & Hashirama had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Madara survived. No one died.

Itachi & Sasuke had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Itachi actually just killed himself (sacrafice)

Minato & Obito had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz he sacraficed himself and his wife, Obito ran away like a baby.

Orochimaru & Hiruzen had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Hiruzen used Death Reaper Seal on himself.

Orochimaru & Sasuke had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Orochimaru survived in his cells.

Naruto & Pain had a "deathmatch" but not really, Nagato killed himself with rinne tensei (sacrafice)

Sasuke & Danzo had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Danzo killed himself and destroyed Shisui's eye.

Sasuke & Deidara had a "deathmatch" but not really, cuz Deidara just blew himself up in the air, suicide.

Kakashi had a "deathmatch" with Pain, but not really, cuz Pain just revived him like 15 minutes later.

Actually we only had five real deathmatches:

Jiraiya vs Pain = Real deathmatch. Jiraiya kills 4 Pains then Nagato actually kills Jiraiya, cold dead.

Kakashi vs Kakuzu = Real deathmatch. Kakashi actually kills Kakuzu, he destroys his heart. cold dead.


Asuma vs Hidan = Real deathmatch. Hidan pierced his own heart, thus Asumas heart. Cold dead.


Konan vs Obito = Real deathmatch Obito reads Konans mind and then kills her, cold dead

Sasori vs Chiyo = Real deathmatch. Chiyo stabbs Sasori's heart with his parents puppets, cold dead


Rin= Accident
Hidan = Cant die
Chiyo= Sacrafice
Gaara = Was revived by Chiyo
Yahiko = Sacrafice
Kimimaro = Illness
Kisame = Harakiri
Haku = Accident
Zabusa = Killed by Gatō's guys after Kakashi beat him up
Neji = Sacrafice
Madara could have killed Gokage + Sasuke/Naruto but left them half dead instead.

^ I would definitely still consider those as deathmatches.

Haha Itachi didn't kill himself. He was going to die yes, but it's not like he stabbed himself during his match with sasuke. xD

There are plenty of ways to kill yourself buddy, you dont have to put a kunai through your heart. You can purposly overexert your chakra and thus killing yourself from chakra depletion. Dont be a narrowminded idiot.

Haku was not Accident he was Sacrafice. You also forgot Kisame - Suicide.

Read again, Kisame is on the list - Harakiri. Means Suicide/Sacrafice. And yes Haku was an accidental kill from Kakashi. Not an accidental sacrafice from Haku.

Does this thread have any real point. Defining a deathmatch and what you consider a "real deathmatch"? They are one and the same. Just because the opponent survived or ran away because they lost doesn't mean it wasn't a "real deathmatch".


Commiting suicide in hopes of killing off ur opponent is still a death/loss.

Kakashi vs. Kakuzu and Chiyo vs. Sasori never happened.

It was:

It wasn't Kakashi vs. Kakuzu, it was Kakashi + Team 10 vs. Kakuzu (And then Naruto and Yamato showed up, and Naruto soloed Kakuzu but Kakashi took him down.) So yea, unless you consider those 5 seconds before Kakashi killed an almost dead Kakuzu a deathmatch, that didn't really happen.

And about Chiyo vs. Sasori: It was Chiyo and Sakura vs. Sasori, and it's still kinda unclear whether Sasori let himself get hit by that last attack or not...

Danzo didn't Kill Himself. The sealing Jutsu was set to go off when he died, and Sasuke had allready stabbed him in the heart.

Well he set that sealing tech on himself, so yes, technically he gave himself the final blow. I know Sasuke "killed" Danzo, he was finished no matter what, but my point was to show who really where killed my the opponents final blow, deathblow. Stone cold kill.
