The next morning Naruto, Sasuke, and Shikamaru were having a conversation about the tournament. Shikamaru was on the opposing side of the debate. Naruto and Sasuke believed that their pair of twins were going to make the final four. Shikamaru told Naruto and Sasuke that Satoshi was going to be in the final match. Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other and then busted out laughing. They couldn't believe what they just heard. They fell silent when they heard a knock on the door. A random shinobi entered the room. He announced that the other hidden villages had arrived. He also explained that they were already inside the stadium. " I wonder why they are so early, asked Naruto. It should have been hours before they arrived". The random shinobi explained to the three that they lost track of time. The three of them sat there with worried looks on their faces. They all rose from their seats and left the office. They made their way to the stadium where the tournament was being held.
The stadium was filled with people. The tournament entries were in the middle of the stadium being admired by the spectators. Pretty much everyone had a favorite to win it all. They all cheered for their own village. The other kages seemed angry as Naruto and company entered the room where the higher ups sat. Gaara being the least upset. He was use to the tardiness of his friends. The refs of the tournament was then told that they can finally start the tournament. The one refs name was a member of the Konah Eleven, Kiba Inuzuka. The other was also a member of the Konah Eleven, Shino Aburame. Shino was the head ref. He puts his hand up to let the crowd know that the event was beginning. " Let's begin the second Hidden Villages Tournament. On behalf of the Konah and our hokage we would like to thank all of the other villages for coming. The matches has already been set up. You have the bracket on your programs". The twins were all in different blocks. Itachi was in block A. Fugaku was placed in block B. Masaru and Satoshi was placed in block C. Noburu and Obito were placed in block D. Shino continued to speak. " Now that you are all settled let's begin the first match. Will all the contestants please go to the waiting area except for the first fighters". Everyone climb the stairs to the waiting room. The twins looked down on the first fight. Masaru noticed that his closest friend was the in the first match. He wished his friend the best of luck. Something was still on his mind. He didn't know the person that stood in front of his friend. Shino then rose his hand again to speak. " The first match is between Goro from the hidden mist and Jiro Sarutobi from Konah". Shino looked at the two and asked if they were ready to begin. They both nodded their heads. Shino yelled begin as he jumped out of the way. Jiro is the son of Asuma. He wears his late dad's clothing.
Goro made the first move. He threw four shuriken at Jiro. Jiro easily dodged the attacks. He then began to form a seal to perform the Katon: Haisekishio. He misses his target. The two of then run towards each other. Once again Goro makes the first move. He throws a punch. Jiro jumps and tries to land a kick on his opponent. Goro grabs the leg of Jiro and flings him down. The spectators who were cheering for Jiro became silent. Goro began to punch Jiro while he was down. After getting hit in the face five times Jiro spun out it. He stands up. He then puts both hands in his pouches. He pulls out two chakra blades. He then uses a small amount of chakra to the blades. He then swings them at Goro. Goro was to slow to dodge. He had to block with his arms. Jiro used this to his advantage. Jiro then cocked his right arm far back. Goro tried to dodge but was hit in the face with the chakra blade. Goro was knocked unconscious. As he was announced the winner, Jiro lit a cigarette.
The crowd cheered as the medics carried Goro out of the stadium. Jiro went up to the waiting room and was congratulated by the other leaf shinobi. Shino began to announce the next match. " Its time for the next match. From the Sand Taro and from the Uchiha village Itachi Uchiha. As they made their way down the crowd cheered. This was a fight they were dying to see. They felt cheated out of this match years before. The for this being is Itachi is the son of Sasuke and Taro is the son of Gaara. Shino asked both boys if they were ready. Both nodded yes. Shino then yelled begin and jumped out of the way. The two of them then charged at each other. Up in the kage box Sasuke and Gaara smiled as they looked at each other. This is going to be a crazy fight Naruto thought to himself.
