The Demise of Senju Hashirama, Shodaime Hokage

He is said to have died: "shortly after the founding of Konoha in one of the many wars that were raging during that revolutionary era".

The Question: How did anyone manage to kill him? He was one of the strongest, if not the strongest shinobi of all time. (Edo Madara doesn't count)

My Theory: Nobody actually killed him, he killed himself in way by fighting until his body gave out on its own. WHAT, are you dumb/insane? No, here is my reason:

We know he had healing techniques that are like Tsunade's Yin Seal Release. How does that matter you say? You are forgeting the main drawback of that technique: Because cells can only divide and be created a set amount of times, the technique shortens the user's life-span. In other words, he fought so much during his life: Madara/Tailed Beasts/Multiple Wars (with the Madara fight being the main contribution) that his cells reached their natural limit despite of how resilient Senju cells are.

very simple answer......look kishi mentioned a unknown disease to itachi and itachi life was already shortened due to that disease...same case with hashirama might have happened....and its more accurate than any other prediction because if you believe he is that much stronger....btw don't underestimate madara uchiha

he died becoz of overuse of his healing tech,, tsunade's healing tech shorten's life time . so this is my guess that hasi shorten his lifetime by overusing his healing tech,,, i read this in someone's theory

IF hashirama died due to overuse of medical jutsu's, He would of looked old and wrinkly when revived by edo tensei (Like Tsunade did when Orochimaru came to help her).

Yet he was revived in his normal state (Edo tensei revives you in the state before you died). So according to Edo tensei, Hashirama died in the state he currently looks.

The main reason why Tsunade looked old and wrinkly was natural, the only reason she looks young now is because she's under a transformation technique that allows her to look in her 20's. When the technique wears off she looks her real age, 50. Her real appearence is said to look waay older then her actual age, Jiraya stated she didn't age gracefully.

Tsunade looked old and wrinkly because she didn't have even a little amount of chakra to keep the technique up.

So it could've still been the overdose of medical techniques that could have killed Hashirama and his apperence would be effected.
