So there's some ****ing spoilers in this. And if you're dumb enough to not realize it from the title alone then **** you.

So I just finished reading Death Note. And I personally loved the ending. I've heard a lot of people talk shit about it but it just thought it was so good and funny.

I say funny because there is nothing more satisfying to me then seeing Light dead on the ground covered in his own blood. Oh how he was driven mad by losing this final intellectual battle with N. Every step Light had planned for, but his ultimate downfall was using another person he thought he could manipulate, but they were so loyal they ultimately killed you. His final cries for the people he used and disposed of so quickly. He was all alone crying out, and no one even cared.

And I wanted him to get out and succeed at first, through your the whole series I did. But then he became just so undignified I couldn't help but laugh and switch teams. So pathetic sounding. Die with some class Light, no god would look so pitiful.

So yes I liked Death Note. Have a nice day.

I wish Death Note had another series.
Death Note was one of the best stories I've ever came across.

Light's death was really scary. The scariest in the series.

I loved the ending and found Light's death justifying, despite a part of me too was rooting for him. He took advantage of people, especially those who cared about him, and when he called out to them and they never came, it was pure karma, including who killed him.

He dealt with L. He beated him..

Two more L's were just too much to deal with (Near and Melo)

I was on team Light 24/7.

TBH Light would've actually won his battle with Near, only reason Near won was because of Mello and he has the right to brag that he and Mello together surpassed L, no, they're a long shot from L's intellect even when together.

Anyways, Light would've won if Mikami didn't go ahead and kill Takada, Light's plan was flawless and beat Near's, it's just that Mikami came in and messed it up.

I hear what you're saying but I prefer the anime ending than the manga , but like you said Light's dead made him looks pathetic & for someone who wanted Light to prevail , it was hard to read .

Now go read or watch Monster .

I felt that light was out of character after L died. I didn't like how it went after that.

The author of the Death Note series described Light to be Kira.

In an alternate ending where L wins against Light everyone (L + Detective force) know that Light is Kira and they all say that it was Kira who killed him, because Light really was a good person without the Death Note.

The series was a 10/10 up until episode 25 (L's death), then it got kinda boring with Near, but then the ending really showed how power gets to your head, and if Light wasn't being an overconfident ****** he wouldn't have fked himself over. I personally loved the ending, but can also understand why some people wouldn't

I agree I think it was the ending that the series needed; after all the deceiving, manipulation, and corruption Light gained throughout it was time for him to finally get put down. I rooted for Light for most of the manga but after L's death he became far too power-hungry and his corrupted god complex spiralled out of proportions.

Link to that specific alternative ending?

Here's a wiki page of it.
It's not an anime, its a novel and live action movie, the novel is better IMO because who watches live action movies?

And here is the MAL page.

I just finished it and honestly felt like WTF I thought light had it in the bag but there were moments that annoyed me like, If light wasn't carrying the book right, then he should of had a gun with him like Matsuda. If he was in the force for so long why didn't he target practice and become a sharp shooter for insurance? O well. I loved ryuk btw he was cool, i wouldn't mind having him follow me he seems like a chill dude.

I don't think detectives get sharp shooting practice yo.
