ok so today i started watching death note and i am on episode 10. its really good anime but my question is who is the villin(sorry for the spelling.)
is it light or L??

There really isnt a villain, because i wouldnt really say there is a protagonist, Light doesnt really go through any major change after he starts killing, its one of my favorite animes, ending sucks though

It all depends on your outlook on things. However, it gets kind of obvious near the end.

There's a difference between "villain" and "antagonist". Light is the villain, L is the antagonist.

In a sense, the thing is, villains dont percieve themselves to be villains. Tobi i trying to create piece, as is Light, it's your choice to agree with them or not.

I can't think of any examples off the top of the head, but it's one of those works where the villian's point-of-view is shown rather than the protagonist. It's weird because I guarantee that almost everyone who watches will, at some point in time, hope Light succeeds instead of L. It's almost unavoidable.
